Which is why you are posting on a message board instead of coaching…

This post is off the chain base ball is the only sport if you hit safely three out of ten times your average is 300 . Babe Ruth has gone 0 for four on a many ocasión Stanfield has what you cannot teach speed and athleticism.

We will see in a few weeks. Currently he has not impressed me at the plate. The coaching comment…I will leave that alone but you are wrong with your assumption.

You people are fricking stupid that start post like this. Do some fricking research before you run your suck and embarrass that family name
Stanfield is still above .300 batting and has been clutch. fricking clowns

I think his issue at the plate is that his helmet is too small. It’s putting too much pressure on his head and making him uncomfortable. JJ should suggest he use the next size up.

Stanfield was hitting .316 with 4 doubles at the plate in SEC play coming into last night
Some of you really dont pay any attention
Stanfield's night wouldnt have even been that bad had the 1st bunt attempt worked, just a little unlucky there State made the play (although the bunt also could have been better itself). Would have made him with 2 successful sacrifices on the night which you take that from a 9 hole hitter.
Him getting Reaves over to 2nd in the 8th allowed us to score that insurance run without another hit ultimately.

We don’t have a problem on offense and in scoring runs but I would like to see Frey more at the plate.

He starts at DH vs. lefties, thats a good role for him.
It's just tough because even Pearson against lefties has been really really good
Stanfield has done nothing to suggest he should be taken out the lineup right now and worsen the defense overall in the OF

Have casually watched most games (not all) I actually agree with the OP’s take. The numbers are not bad and there is no arguing that. However, it’ll be interesting to see his numbers at the end of the year as he faces top end pitching. He does seem to struggle in big at bats.

Jay talks like he trusts him but takes the bat out of his hand with two bunts last night.
He also struck out in the 4th swinging through three pitches w a runner on.
He’s a solid guy for a 9 hole & his defense is so much better in the OF compared to everyone but Curiel.
I think the lineup is strong enough to support him there. He’s a .280/.345/.390 type guy in SEC

It’s funny how terrible pitching produces wild complaints about all sorts of other parts of the team.

Move Curiel to CF Pearson to LF Frey & Brown to RF and who ever is not playing in the field should DH Let him and Larson get some run in mid week
I’m glad Jay is actually emphasizing a good defensive player for a change over a power bat that is suspect in the field. Stanfield is taking a lot of heat for no reason.
As for Larson, don’t know what’s going on with him.. but, he’s looking very overmatched every time he gets a look. Lineup is fine.. we have to figure out the pitching

Kade Anderson had a rough game, yet here you are, starting a thread about Standfield? You mayo boys really have a sense of humor. First, it was Braswell, then Eyanson, and now Standfield. You've created not one, but two separate posts about him. It seems that the Black players have to be flawless in every game, while their teammates are given passes and excuses. It's quite telling, isn't it?

He plays great centerfield
First 5 SEC games he was 6/16 and came around to score 8 times.
he’s 0/6 his last 2 SEC games.
maybe we’re jumping the gun.

He is up and down like the rest of them. But I get it. I personally have said since day 1, that was no need for another outfielder by bringing him in. Jmo. Considering the rest of the guys that were here had put in their time should be out there and getting at least equal results.

Glad to see he's doing well where there are 250 people in the stands every night.
They have broken stadium records this season already. It wasn’t the crowd.

Larson’s issues need to be corrected in the cage instead of costing the team outs in games
So he can run off in the transfer portal. Playing speed is always superior to cage speed. The guy needs to see time.

Like what Kling did?
Kling wasn’t a starter which is why he went to another School
and he’s killing it but the big 10
isn’t the SEC.

the last few at bats i've seen from Larson were laughably bad.
Like I could have went in there at 33 years old not swinging a bat for 10 years+ and would have looked the exact same.
He's not even swinging, he's check swinging through the pitch
