The team wins. I don't care whether it's pretty or ugly.

Just get a win here. Played terribly IMO. Carolina played amazing, beautiful bball, and LSU can still win; I’ll take it.

That's every day, smart guy. A lot of times, people post outside of the game thread, because the game thread, itself, is filled with elitists who don't want to hear anything but "yay, LSU rocks!".

And it happens every game. But today, every time I tried to post in one of those threads, it disappeared.

You must be too young to have watched Dale Brown's team blow a 31 point half time lead.

I've seen way uglier just today. Auburn and Kentucky were under 10 minutes in the first half and neither team had 10 points.

You don’t know basketball. We attack so many different ways. Sometimes we work the post through Watford, sometimes we work the pick in roll through Smart, soemtimes we work the high post, sometimes we ISO with Cam. Pay attention dude. It’s not street ball; basketball has evolved.

Lol, what a fricking moron the OP is. Getting stagnant on offense against a good defensive team doesnt mean they play “street ball”

This is street ball at its worst.

Do you watch the games of any other team on TV? I recommend it to you and to everyone like you. Even the so-called elite teams struggle on the offensive end. The Baylor-Texas Tech game today was an embarrassment to offense. Those are both excellent teams. I watched it and several other games today.

That just happens to be the style of play these days. Players try to get a gap in order to drive to the bucket. If they can, they do and pass off to someone else if they can't get to the hoop. If they can't, then it's dribble or pass until somebody gets enough room to take a shot (or beat the shot clock).

Once upon a time, there was more deference to the defenders who could step out in front of drivers and draw the charge. Now, about 95% of the time there's any contact, it's ruled a block and the driver gets to shoot free throws. Thus, there's greater emphasis on someone being able to drive to the bucket when they get a single defender.

It's like that from the pros to the high schools. In Louisiana high school games, there is no shot clock and it is possible for teams to run some type of elaborate continuity offense. But, that doesn't mean anybody does.

It drives me insane but I've come to accept the fact that this how the game is played, today. I assure you that it's not just LSU.

1. All SEC wins are NOT ugly.

2. The term "street ball" should be banished from all sports boards. It has no real definition.

Good points, but this game tonight rivals those mentioned.
