First, it’s HIPAA.

Second, neither his HS coach, who no longer has any professional relationship with him and no direct access to protected health records , nor the OP are considered covered entities under HIPAA.

Milazzo has locked down the catchers spot for the rest of the season.

OP sets the timeline that Travinski was injured right as he started struggling at the plate in the Supers. I love Milazzo behind the plate but a healthy Travinski is the better option over Milazzo any day and that is why JJ has had him in the lineup. Milazzo looks absolutely lost when he's batting. It is nice that he can bunt, unlike the rest of the team. However, the opposing teams throw right to him b/c he poses no threat at all. Sometimes we are lucky enough for him to sneak something past the infield. Travinski is a better catcher than people give him credit for and the difference in the production at the plate b/t the two is insane. Trav's OPS is almost DOUBLE that of Milazzo. It would be insane to keep a healthy Travinski on the bench.

LSU likely isn’t playing this weekend if Milazzo doesn’t start the last three games.

If we are going to do hypotheticals... a healthy Travinski in the lineup, allows us to score runs, and these games aren't as close. The result is less gray hair for me.

Jesus people. A HIPAA violation would only be if a medical professional is giving out information on a patient that they haven't been authorized to do. It has NOTHING to do with coaches, former coaches, etc.

This. Also I keep hearing how Milazzo’s framing pitches is so important but what boggles my mind is why should that even matter when the ump’s (who is standing behind him) eyes should be focused 2 feet before the ball touches his glove.

If the ump was behind the pitcher, I get the framing being important but if the ump was worth a crap framing behind the plate, it shouldn’t matter. Let’s just get rid of the damn ump and let technology do it so trying to fool the ump into thinking it’s a strike should not even be a thing.

We aren’t doing hypotheticals. LSU isn’t playing any more this season if Milazzo isn’t catching.

Not a "hippa" violation.

He’s a beast but no one is disappointed in Milazzo’s defensive performance.

Sorry but I expect him to be damn near perfect back there b/c of his terrible bat. Letting that 3rd strike get past him in is what led to the awesome Tre bunt play. The game is completely different if he does his job and keeps that 3rd strike in front of him, like we should expect him to do, but he was being lazy and wasn’t ready to move and get on top of that slider in the dirt.

And if framing strikes works, then that umpire should be fired. I’m not saying it doesn’t at times, but if it is working that umpire is a dumbass, and we’ve had some dumbasses this CWS.

He has a higher average in Omaha than half the team.

If this is your threshold, every college umpire would be fired. That’s not the world we live in.

Explain to me why this isn’t a hypothetical.

I like all our catchers. They are tough and bring a unique skill set to the team.

Don't question ell, he's the expert on everything related to LSU baseball...
At least he thinks he is.

He has looked totally overmatched at the plate. He has a couple of singles (one of which was a seeing eye single between SS/3b).

I clearly saw him holding his side during the first two games of the CWS, and have been saying it all week, tried to tell it to Mr. AFR, but he would have none of it. Flat told me I was wrong.

Please pass your info on to him. Though you'll probably get the same response.

He’s been incredibly lucky. He’s gotten one ball to get out of the infield, a sac fly against tenn I believe, which was a good at bat. He has to bunt if there’s runners on b/c he will hit into a double play.

Don’t try to make it sound like he’s a good hitter. We all know he isn’t.
That being said, he’s out there giving it his all and trying to do everything he can to contribute, and he is contributing in a positive way from the plate for him, and I can definitely appreciate that and cheer him on.

We should be using technology to call balls and strikes anyway.

If this is true he is out and could in an emergency come in as a DH.

Im not. You’re trying to make it sound like he’s useless. And that’s just not true.
