I hope a bus commits a foul on you in the middle of the street.

Just a PSA to remember when you're crying about the refs tomorrow.

Even the trolls on the SEC Rant have commented about the shitty officiating during our games.

If rival fans are acknowledging it, there's more going on than Reid and Eason simply fouling a lot. At the very least, the refs have been harsh against us.

we play aggressive defense, that's why we foul alot.

It's not cheating or biased referees.

You will get foul out games but that happens when you have guys flying around with the Number 1 defense in the country.

Intellectually dishonesty is arguing that because our players are fouling, it means that the other team is fouling

Since you enjoy looking up numbers, why don't you tell us the number of times, in a college basketball game, did one team have less than 7 total team fouls (in the entire game, not one half) at the under 4 minute time out of the second half.

Complaining about the refs in the Florida game was completely warranted.

Does LSU play mostly man defense? Because that could explain some of the discrepancy.

And in the times I’ve watched them this year, they get a lot of dumb fouls in press defense and in just being too aggressive.

WW said in his press conference today that we actually committed 21 fouls vs UF. He also said the refs get 90% of their calls exactly right.

IMO, we play such an aggressive form of D, that we will almost always have more fouls than our opponents will have. But 2.5 and 3 times as many is excessive, IMO.

Geaux Tigers! Cannot wait to be in the PMAC tomorrow afternoon.

So players can’t improve on not fouling? Darius days used to foul a ton his first few years and this year has improved a ton. Needless to say, you’re clueless. Also, 90% of the complaints here are when our guys get mugged all game but don’t get any fouls called on the other team. Not as much our guys getting too many fouls (with the exception of Eason)

I dont have any objection to your argument, other than the fact that the foul calls have been lopsided. Have to be consistent and then I dont mind them getting fouled out or whatever

The issue is not whether LSU fouled. Rather, it is the foul discrepancy that seems out of wack for a team that took 75% of their shots in the paint. It seems statistically unlikely there would be so few fouls against a team that spent most of their offensive possessions taking shots in the most congested part of the court.

Then again, a relatively average offense did shoot 50% vs. Florida (while going 3-9 from three). So it very well could be the case that Florida did not contest hard enough to foul...which led to a good shooting night for LSU

That's why I said 2.5-3 times the fouls called against us is excessive. UF committed more fouls than they were called for.

We can but we also can't afford to lose our edge and intensity on defense. It's a big part of what makes us such a strong defensive team. We're simply going to foul more than most or all of the teams we play. The issue, as others have alluded to, is the absurd disparity in fouls in the last 2 games.
