I think they've pinned themselves into a corner. They want to change the design every year so people will buy the new one, but they don't have good designs. As an above poster said, there are only so many ways to design a polo. Maybe its time to retro these polos, Nike.

Why incorporate black into a school whose colors are not black.
Not sure where I sit on this being a feature of your complaint. The same design with gold or white, or even another shade of purple, would probably look worse than black.
In short, the issue is the design not the color choice.

I don’t disagree with any of that. I didnt make it the focal point of my complaint because other posters already mentioned the geometric design. I even said remove them and make it solid.
I also just don’t think black should be incorporated in lsu gear, period.

They always make their “early season” coaches polos they release ugly(ier) than their “official” coaches polo as a distraction so people think the new coaches polo looks better than it actually will.
Like a chick that’s a 5, surrounding herself with a bunch of dog arse 3s, making her appear to be a 7.

UA is not the best when it comes to uniforms.

Nike's dry fit material and styling has been completely surpassed by about a dozen brands. It's a shame because they used to be sweet back in the day. Maybe I'm just older and out of touch with style (not that I was ever in touch with it), but my money spends elsewhere for LSU gear now.
At that price I’ve been wearing Brooks Brothers and Vineyard Vines performance series.
I haven’t worn a Nike polo I’ve liked in quite some time.

Not the worst I've ever seen.

You're not wrong. Either Peter Millar or Cutter & Buck for me now. But I still get the dri fit tee's from Fanatics for around the house.
This Peter Millar is way to go

Beats Under Armour & Adidas gear by far.

shite designers the last several years. Supposedly Lulu Lemon is killing them

UA has awful uniforms but their college fan merch is so much more diverse and higher quality (outside of the top end Nike stuff that’s outrageously priced). It’s all fanatics screen print garbage that we choose from for the most part instead

Hey who doesn't like team sport shirts with tire tracks across the chest

It's an LSU polo. What are they supposed to do? Make it green?
