Have you seen his play behind the plate?
He drops every 6th ball, he doesn't block pitches well and you can steal on him non stop because he drops the ball constantly.
I wish him well but catching is not his position, he needs to learn how to play 1st base

I definitely agree. He gives the term “catcher” a bad name. Learning how to play 1B, 3B, or OF might be his best option to proceed to the next level.

Why would he not be available if he’s healthy? Could there be another reason other than off the field issues?
Not listed on the availability report means he was available.

meh, it's Orwellian wording, easy to mistake

I said this last week or the week before Bide's demeanor seems way off so I'll bet it's something else.

What’s your take on the hitting this weekend? Friday’s understandable, Jelkin is a stud. We knew their bullpen was trash too though.

It felt like a lot of guys just decided to stay within themselves. I thought Dardar was a great matchup play on Friday because of his massive uppercut against a bowling ball pitcher. He was the only one that really excelled. I'm glad he kept the hot bat the rest of the weekend.

It was written by Koki so what can you expect.

Jay was raving about him in the pre season. I thought we were going to have the next Johnny Bench.

I heard from a pretty reliable source, Cade has a foot injury. He hurt it in practice. Not a real serious injury.

One great thing about JJ if you ain’t preforming you sit the bench.Thats what great coaches do.

He’s been pretty terrible behind the plate. But no one has been great.
Statistically, Serna is not better behind the plate than Arrambide, though I have seen the contention that Serna is better at framing. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, maybe the difference is insignificant.
Someone with access to advanced statistics may have better data to make an objective judgment. But here are the the comparison based on regular stats.
Serna in 25 games played has 4 passed balls, 5 errors, and 1 catchers interference in 165 chances. He also has caught 4 runners stealing while and has given up 17 stolen bases.
Arrambide in 24 games played has 3 passed balls, 2 errors, and 0 catchers interference in 211 chances. He also has caught 2 runners stealing while and has given up 12 stolen bases.
Here are the hitting stats. Serna's numbers are better but I am not sure they are any better than the effects of an early season slump for Bide would show.
Overall Batting
Serna in 25 games played has a 0.279 BA in 68 ABs (81 PAs) ,19 Hits, 14 runs, 19 RBIs, 8 Walks, 4 HBP, 17 SO, 0.383 OBP, 0.456 SLG, 0.839 OPS
Arrambide in 24 games played has a 0.256 BA in 78 ABs (95 PAs) ,20 Hits, 17 runs, 15 RBIs, 13 Walks, 4 HBP, 26 SO, 0.389 OBP, 0.474 SLG, 0.864 OPS
SEC Batting
Serna in 8 games played has a 0.300 BA in 30 ABs (37 PAs) ,9 Hits, 3 runs, 7 RBIs, 4 Walks, 2 HBP, 7 SO, 0.405 OBP, 0.433 SLG, 0.839 OPS
Arrambide in 6 games played has a 0.250 BA in 20 ABs (26 PAs) ,5 Hits, 5 runs, 4 RBIs, 5 Walks, 1 HBP, 6 SO, 0.423 OBP, 0.350 SLG, 0.773 OPS
