My bitch is that the bullpen is not even close on the pitches called balls. They are non competitive pitches as the announcer put it. So they have to gut it down the middle & that's why bama, AU, and now Moo St. have been hitting pitches all over the ballpark when not giving up HR's. Outside of Skenes, how many called strike outs have they thrown?

Well, 36 with 1 series left, so not that far off
If they wouldn't have faceplanted against Mizzou, they'd be in position to get 40 in the regular season.

Our pitchers seem to prefer giving up 2 or 3 straight walks to giving 1 single. They often start a batter with 2 or 3 out of the zone before giving a walk ora fat pitch for a HR or a big hit.

Skip used to reiterate his credo "If you walk the 1st batter, he will score 75% of the time."

Our pitchers are young, but they can reason. Walk the first guy, Ill yank you. Leave your ego on the bench or I'll leave you there.

Can we get Skip to give them the riot act during a game?

Well MAYBE when you pull a pitcher with 2 outs in the ninth for NO reason, and deny him a complete game, you lose the respect of all on the team.

Need a sports psychoanalysis to stalk to pitchers.

I have no idea what kind of answer people would expect a coach to give.

When coaches give honest answers, fans complain about players being thrown under the bus. When they are more discreet, they're not being transparent enough. It's amazing to watch really

This is why you ask the question. Then you know.

Ignorant people don’t want discussions about individual situations and moves because they can’t participate. If you’re not just a cheerleader they want you silenced. That’s why they try to place everyone into these 2 categories.

"The opinions that matter, are very few."

@LSUbaseball head coach Jay Johnson and the #LSU Tigers are very grateful for the incredible fan support they receive, but at the same time can't worry about any outside noise.

"We don't really care, to be honest with you."

Local media is never going to ask that. Would need drunk Bobby Hebert to ask.
What about a drunk T-Bob Hebert to fill in for Daddy and ask a "Tough" question?

uhh... nope.

Did you read the whole post, or just seize on something to bitch about?
Because what I wrote was that Tennessee was in position to win 40 games, IF THEY WOULDN'T HAVE FACEPLANTED AT MIZZOU.
Since LSU ALREADY HAS 40 wins... no, that doesn't apply.

If you listen to the Miked Up podcast yesterday with Jay Johnson it was pretty good. Didn't talk about specific issues, but said that he challenged the pitchers this week. There is some good discussion on there.

Ask the OP. I still don't understand the group of posters here who want to "Hold coaches accountable". WTF does that even mean?
