Mike Archer was DB coach for the Steelers that won the AFC north a few times while he was there.

Matt Canada had more success in his career once he left LSU. Can't remember if he was technically fired or if it was a "mutual" parting.

Matt Canada was fired in Pittsburgh and is still running from the pitch forks from the Steelers fans.

Most fired coaches don’t really workout elsewhere either.

Some guy named Kiffin did ok after being fired on the tarmac.

Sark got shite canned by the same school.

Living it up…… AKA gone through his half of the money. He didn’t think the court would give her 8 million. He’s been on damn near every talk show / podcast known to man putting it out there that he’s available for a job.

Those are good examples of it working out. Still seems somewhat rare. At least with HCs.

I really hated what the Saints did hiring DA. Just feels like most fired HCs don’t tend to get better unless they stay as a coordinator elsewhere.

Meatball Johnson. Jamar Cain. Corey Raymond. Blake Baker. Gerald Chatman. All were fired or "fired" and did well afterwards. Obviously Raymond and Blake got rehired lol

No. LSU is a coaching graveyard for anyone not named Saban.

Coach O and Miles shouldn’t have sniffed a national championship, but were able to win one here

Sure, but that's the NFL. He did well at Maryland.

No one has done better than Brian Kelly. He got fired and is taking $53 million with him. What is better than that?

If we are strictly talking college football and not other sports, can we expand that to ALL D1 schools? How many D1 head coaches have been fired then gone on to have better success at the D1 level?

Fired from Ole Miss

I know everyone here loves Will Wade, but please explain how he’s done better since the left LSU?

He never coached past the Round of 32 at LSU, and he has never done better than that since. In fact he’s never coached a Sweet 16 game ever.
