I'd love to see Lane take the job. We all know Auburn can be a big time program, and the odds are good they won't frick up yet another hire, especially if they get a Rhule or someone similar
Ole Miss needs somebody special to make them relevant. I'd rather see Auburn grab Lane and return to their level, and OM to theirs. I don't see OM being able to replace Lane as easily, they don't have the booster network or funding Auburn can roll out
The last thing LSU needs is Lane staying at OM and Auburn getting Rhule or Freeze. Always need a couple of layups/breathers in the conference schedule

There was a post on the Auburn 247 board about a pissed off parent who reached out to the site mods. Apparently on Saturday Harsin took 2 freshman who had already played 4 games on the year, and were always planning to redshirt, and told them he wanted them to go into the game - with 1:55 left and Auburn down 41-20. They basically refused, but the parent felt like he was intentionally trying to screw over the kids/Auburn moving forward.

Hope they don't do something smart and hire Dave Aranda. They need a guy like Dan Mullen.

I'm a Matt Rhule fan, but I don't think his style fits at Auburn. He's a builder and a developer, not a high level recruiter.
He's actually what Nebraska needs. Not sure Auburn has the patience for what Rhule would do, although he would turn them into a winner eventually.
They would get disgruntled quickly with the low recruiting rankings.

I don't know if he's actually in play, but I would actually die laughing if they really hired Deion Sanders. That would set them back another 10 years

I will laugh at anyone that hires Deion. He's a clown.
He's not even a top 5 black coach in my opinion, if that's the reason schools are looking at him.

Agreed. Just posted on the SECr thread. Dude is an actual retard. He may get recruits but that entire football program would become a spectacle. I sincerely hope Auburn hires him

I think Lane Kiffin would be more likely to go to Auburn than Hugh Freeze.
