Take off your SEC goggles. I still feel the SEC is the best, but the ACC is no slouch. Talent? They only have the national champions and the reigning Heisman winner.

No doubt. The acc is an elite conference.

I wish this kid all the luck in the world! If Les would have put him in a damn offense that suited his skill set, they BOTH would still be at LSU. Don't matter now.....it's all about the TIGERS!!!

The ACC is no slouch. The SEC had the most draft picks in the 2017 NFL Draft with 53, but the ACC was not that far behind with 43.

That's usually the case too. From 2006 to 2015, the ACC had the 2nd most draft picks by conference.

but I will also be sick is he lights it up...

Why? It wasn't his fault. Les Miles & Cam Cameron passion for under developing players & restricting their potential. They are the only ones to blame for the missed opportunities over the past few years.

I am rooting for him, and hope he kills it.

We can be divide on O, but at least there will be no argument about Miles time to go if he is productive no?

This is such bullshite! They might not have helped the situation but only one person is to blame for Brandon Harris not succeeding here, Brandon Harris!

That God awful last throw and decision against Wisconsin did it for me! This is what you are going to see as soon as he throws his first pick or if things don't go his way!

talent level doesn't matter. If he suddenly lights it up and plays well consistently it just confirms that it was mostly coaching
So all those QBs who lit it up in college and then busted out in the pros - that was because their pro coaches sucked???

Talent matters...

Alot!

BH has footwork and accuracy issues, as well as how he always had great practices but caved monumentally when the Saturday lights came on. I hope he does have success though.

Alot of the problem was Miles recruiting dual threat QBs and trying to make them into pocket passers because he knows you have to have a somewhat mobile QB to beat Alabama. Maybe he just didn't get that pro style guys can scramble and be elusive in the pocket as well.

Les had designed runs called specifically for BH, but he only called those plays when it was obvious it was coming. BH was doomed from the start at LSU, unfortunately.

I wouldn't be suprised at all if he did well.

Miles was a horrible offensive coach

Sometimes you just gotta line up and be better than the other guy. Harris never was.

Harris was built up as a savior at QB for LSU, which got even louder when he came off the bench and was slinging darts against Miss St. Then he had a lot of ups and downs, which led to the fans completely turning on him.

He was having a very solid year when we had that big showdown against Bama. His TD to INT ratio was great and we were undefeated. He throws that big TD just before the half at Bama and we're in the game. That throw also injured him significantly and affected his play for the rest of the year. Then having the immense negativity of an unhappy fan base directed at him further killed his confidence.

I hope he does well and has fun playing the game again.

Yep. He actually only played QB for two years before he went to LSU. He needed to start in a spread system and let them build him up. Trying to learn how to be an NFL QB (reading defenses and coverages, proper footwork, going through progressions, etc) after only learning the position like 2-3 years had to be extremely rough.

Had he gone to Miss St, he would have benefited greatly. Sitting behind Dak and learning from QB guru Mullen he could have been dominating the SEC for two straight years. If Miss St QB Nick Fitzgerald, who threw only 86 passes in 23 career high school games, could throw for 2400 yards and 21 TDs in the SEC West as a first year starter, Harris would have easily went over 3k.

couldn't get his footwork right and couldn't check down. his own fault.
