If he does light it up, blame it on Les Miles.

Problem with that is that pro style QBs have yet to beat Nick Saban since 2007 I think (his first year at Bama). He has only lost to dual threat QBs for years now. Miles was so much of a stubborn fool that he was willing to get a dual threat, but not put him in a position to succeed. Plenty of good college OC/QB gurus that could have worked for us. The spread offense is perfect for Louisiana talent, yet he refused to go that way.

Has Fedora ever had a QB throw for under 2,000 yards in a season or complete 45-50% of his passes over the course of a year?

Harris was so bad at LSU that any amount of playing time in Fedora's system will result in better numbers than he had combined at LSU. Remains to be seen if he can win games but my guess is he throws for 300yds in multiple games just based on their offensive system

I hope he does light it up. We can't go back in time and change the way we used him anyway.

I think Harris can do well in a spread offense. He needs to use his feet to maximize his skill set. He's just not a very good drop back passer and I think that will limit any football opportunities post-college. But there's really no reason he shouldn't be productive in a spread system IMO.

You realize it's University of North Carolina (UNC) and not University of Norther Colorado (UNC), right?

He's either going to be really good or mediocre imo

Could go either way

I think either he gets it going or he stays the same

The conference thing is overblown. I agree the Acc is very good now. We shall see who is best first week..

QBd 2 wins over Bama and an SEC Title, so did a bit more than Harris, or prolly 95% of LSU QBs for that matter.
What matters is Geaux Etling anyway.

Harris in LSUs offense under Miles was like trying to force a square peg through a round hole. He was/is a spread QB not a pocket passer.

My thoughts as well. If Brandon was ever going to be successful in CFB, he's at a place with a system that fits. I hope he's all-ACC - light it up Brandon!

You should start stepping out of that SEC bubble, the talent is just about the same sans Bama

I also hope he does well. Have no reason to root against him. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a video game season based on his talent. Some guys just take a few years until they are ready. QB position these days is degree in itself. I refuse to believe that a kid as talented as Harris can't light it up in the right place. Rooting for him. It's not even egg on our face. Everyone saw how bad our offense was from a QB standpoint. Wish he would have had a chance under Canada.

That was basically true last year because Clemson beat Bama and FSU clobbered Florida.

However, Louisville finished 2nd to Clemson in their division, and LSU, the SEC's 3rd place West team, beat the living shite out of them in the bowl game.

I do think FSU has a decent chance of beating Bama in their opening weekend matchup. Dalvin Cook will be really hard to replace, but apparently, his replacement is the highest ranked offensive recruit that FSU has ever had. If FSU's O-line is even decent this year, they will be a terror with that QB they have.

Alot of the problem was Miles recruiting dual threat QBs and trying to make them into pocket passers because he knows you have to have a somewhat mobile QB to beat Alabama.
Pretty sure Harris is the first DT since RP to start.

A better fit for the sq peg/round hole narrative was Jefferson, who was like #10 Pro QB given a lot of carries and pretty elusive. Jennins was like #15 Pro QB IIRC and still struggling at USL with more INTs than TDs and around 300yds rushing .
