Kinda makes you wonder how many more emergence’s have been overlooked by the 100 million dollar man

Whit reminds me so much of Brian Urlacher

Urlacher is 6’ 4”, and played at 255 pounds. Also ran a 4.5 forty.

Whit is 6’ 2” and 225.

Many of us on here were screaming for Whit and West LAST SEASON.

Moving forward, I want to see Whit, West and Greg Penn on the field at the same time;

Whit Weeks took a step up last night. I think he will be more effective now that Perkins is out.

Was that going so fast you think he needs to slow down?

Roaches was a total beast. Weeks is very solid but USA still rushed for over 100 yards. Team defense still needs to get a lot better and I’d just say Weeks isn’t the main issue but the defense in general still has a long way to go to be where we need them for SEC quality

I have never seen a player so athletic but so difficult to find a place for him on the field because he is the ultimate in-betweener.

Whit Weeks will be what we wanted Harold Perkins to be.

I think we put him out in the field whatever way we could as. freshmen and that set him on the wrong path.

as a thought excercise if I said “I have a 6’ 1” 200 pound freakish athlete but i’m not sure where to put him.”

I dont know if your first answer would be “see if he can gain 25-30 pound and play LB.

You’d probably say safety.

and idk if that just wasn’t what house invisioned for his safeties and it was a little bit course determined when Baker got here.

and I think a huge part of it is they put him out there and he was spying the QB perfectly and pass rushing and they were like “we gotta keep him near the LOS”

A lot of what you’re saying is true. This has been a total failure by Kelly, complete disorganization and lack of development with this player. Fans really don’t understand how chaotic and disorganized it’s been moving him all over the place.

The issue isn't weeks. DE and OLB speed is the issue. LSU needs to go heavy on DBs and go back to 5 DBs on the field or get faster OLBs. They get beat to the sideline over and over and can't contain.

in Kelly’s defense, he had 7.5 sacks as a freshmen. Not only was he amazing pas rushing but go look at that 2022 Alabama game

He was able to roll out with Young, match him horizontally while also closing the distance on him to hurry the throw.

Everything looked like he COULD play LB. and given his Pass rush prowess it’s hard to say “ok not let’s play him 15 yards upfield” But then it never translated to the position full time.

Chicken is probably right. CBK should have slimmed Perkins down with high rep and cardio workouts in the spring to mold him into a free safety playing around 195.

You may have missed it when someone called him Brian Urlacher.
