They’re a rival in your same division. Why would you not care?

I think we just need a DL coach who isn’t in the hospital and a new DB coach and recruiter.

I did not think we needed a new DC until Saturday.

That was Bo Pelini bad. Guys were out of position a lot. Not sure if House is not as involved as he used to be or what. But that was stuff that should be fixed in the offseason.

I just don’t remember guys doing that last year.

Lane Kiffin ran plays side to side at a fast pace on offense to tire the defense and expose LSU’s poor tackling.

This is the biggest thing that angered me Saturday night. The entire world knows this is what Kiffin does. The way we combatted that was to send Speights out there to chase people for an entire half instead of playing the LB with ELITE side to side speed that just showed you 2 weeks in a row he deserved to be on the field.

Sitting Weeks was a giant WTF for me Saturday.

One thing that frustrated me was when we pushed the pace they pulled the old fake injury. We knew they were a team that likes to push the pace also. Why were we not doing the same thing a few times. I don’t like the rule that allows it, but if they are using we should be too. This cost us opportunities to regroup.

Based on all the statistics and metrics Hanny just noted that LSU defense among the bottom 10, and LSU’soffense is among the top 5 or 10.

LSU's Offense has made a giant step up, as a result of the improvement of Daniels.
Meanwhile the defense has gone down.
Maybe the QB Coach should get half of the DC's pay.

Missed tackles, players out of position, and no communication all point squarely to coaching, not talent. BK's response so far has been embarrassing.

Thus far he is a fail. Maybe just cannot get over the injury.

Is this Live at Lunch or Postgame?

It’s what they call live at lunch but it is the same gambling show Ott has been doing for years. Hani is just there for decoration.

Well he had that moment in his press conference where he let everyone know "nobody else is walking through that door" and "these are the guys we have to play with." Which sounds like someone who is implying that we don't have the talent.

Name the talented players on our defense not named Mekhi Wingo and Harold Perkins. Exclude Brooks and Maason assuming Maason is still rusty.

I’d give you Whit Weeks, possibly Harris and Jefferson. That’s it. No depth, very little top end talent.

That doesn’t excuse House and the rest of the defensive staff because they’ve clearly shite the bed this year too.

But both things can be true at once. We have very little talent of defense, and our coaches are not developing/preparing/scheming around the talent we do have.

The struggles on defense aren’t solely on coaching. It can be both… we can all argue about who should play etc. we can’t deny guys were in positions to tackle and just didn’t… I can’t tell you how many Olay arm tackles I saw 1v1 from the DBs. Coaching can only take us so far, the players have to start making plays, getting off blocks, I mean frick… play the damn ball, we don’t even turn our heads 99% of the time.

It matters to LSU if Kiffin’s offense can succeed with their remaining schedule which includes Ga. And Ga struggled vs Aub.

Ole Miss ain't winning shite with that D. There's your summary.

It's A&M and Bama

LSU is very capable of beating both of these teams.

Hanny “soundly” disagreed with Kelly that it’s about the lack of talent in the secondary. Getting a couple more talented cornerbacks will not solve it for Kelly.

Hanny is wrong here - Saturday LSU played with 3 TOTAL CB's on the roster, and had to move a very confused Ryan to corner in order to field a defense. Harris, Stamps, Ryan, and Welsh were your pool Saturday. How can you NOT have a deficiency of talent with just 4 dressed?

Put another way - LSU has 4 players starting on Defense that had starter experience from last year. Thats 11-14 players in your rotation that are lacking - let that sink in for a second.

There is a dearth of talent on defense that has not been witnessed here in decades. Wow. What is Kelly doing with the dang roster?

Dashawn Womack who played zero defensive snaps. I would like to see Wiggins get at least one snap so I know that he exists. As you said Harris, Weeks, Jefferson. Welch could be very good. Toviano maybe, not sure because we haven’t seen him. Either way it’s not my fault that the coaches brought in transfers that aren’t talented enough.
