36 % shooting from the field is not gonna win games. Did McMahon brick those shots? I'm not taking up for the coach, but eventually, LSU fans have to realize they don't have good enough players. That's what gets W's. I've said this a million times, it's not an attractive job, and no big time or young and hungry coach is going to take the job. Until the administration puts emphasis into basketball seriously, this is the end result. Live with it.

I mean who gives a mid major unproven coach at the power 5 level an 8 year contract with a huge buy out, that sits solely on Fatty Patty Woodward, and if Woody would have done his job an actually gone after anybody and everybody aka Golden at Florida, the Vanderbilt coach etc. He could have got somebody that could coach and win!

Our program was in a state of unknown at the time. We had no players, and the incoming coach didn't know if we were going to be hit with penalties or not but it seemed likely. No one wanted to come here, and to get someone decent it was going to take an overpay.

And who gives a shite about his buyout. We aren't poor and it does nothing to stop us from firing him this offseason and hiring whoever we want.

We probably would have fired him the day after the rumor of him sending dick pics came out.

we'ver recruited and used the portal as or more effectively than plenty of other SEC schools that are well ahead of us. You can go look at the rankings and see that we are on par or better than teams like Ole Miss, UF, Mizzou, MSU, UGA, yet we are no where near where they are this year.
When a coach doesn't run an offense that gets guys good shots, yes it's his fault when our shooting sucks.

brought energy to the program. LSU needs more than a good coach, we need someone who will get the fans excited.

It's time to make McMahon a lucky young man and pay him off after this year. The roster has to suffer until the end of the season and then they will be on their way to other places.

The new coach (whoever that will be) will have to start the LSU basketball program completely over AGAIN.

I will renew my ticket again for the preseason schedule and then quit going to the games soon after the SEC schedule begins AGAIN

What a disaster. The Pacific Palisades community will be rebuilt before this program.

For me it's deeper than shooting it's that we can't get open shots, for me it's much more we don't get good open shots in rhythmn because our offense is poorly, poorly executed. I've seen lesser talented teams run more cohesive offense many times.

His point, like many others here that aren’t excusing coaching is that coaches don’t dribble, shoot, turn the ball over, play defense, or rebound. The players do that, so therefore coaching isn’t accountable or the problem.

It makes perfect sense for those that have trouble tying their shoes.

This is key Alt for those wanting to cut the chord - their was angst here, but we're the tree falling in the forest and there is only about 20 of us.

No one else of significance was saying this, not even one of the more prominant hoops boosters I know very well.

But Hanny is known and perhaps as respeceted a media voice as we have in the area. His opinion moves the needle a bit, where hit was stagnant before.

Good. It will take more than a message board to put the pressure needed on the administration to actually make a move. It will need to be a collective of local media and fans to really show how much we care about the product on the court.
