You are aware they were back in football ops the Monday after OM beat Tulane, right? Then they returned to Oxford/New Orleans to prep for Georgia.

And thank goodness OM would not let Lane coach through the playoffs. Not that I think he would have changed his mind but how distracted would he have been when he’s obviously been working hard at football ops since his hire?

not surprising considering they work for LSU and it is the first day of the portal. Plus, I am sure Ole Miss is taking a day or so to rest and enjoy before diving back in for next round.

This should happen immediately. I might be ok sending Weis to call plays, but the rest of those guys need to be in BR recruiting in the portal. They are no longer employees of Ole Miss.
