You think those are the only two viable options as OC?

No. I think they're the two best and most promising.

It was known before Canada arrived that he had an abrasive personality. Seems like I heard he got dismissed from NC Sate. Not surprised he had issues here.

He has been one and done at 4 different schools now. I know the Rant won't hear this but it is entirely possible (if not likely) that this is more complicated than their narrative of Orgeron demolishing the program.

That first of 4 was at Butler. They were paying him a salary of $5k.

The 2nd was Wisconsin. It was Bielema’s last year. New head coach Gary Anderson brought in 2 new coordinators: Andy Ludwig and Dave Aranda. Canada was hired away by Dave Doeren, whom Canada previously coached under.

The 3rd was Pitt, where O pried him away with a very lucrative contract and statements that spoke favorably of his multiple shifts and that Canada “fits with our staff”.

The 4th is obviously LSU where O is pretty much on record interfering with disrespecting the offense he hired Canada to run.

My money is Canada having more success and longevity as OC than O will have as head coach.

If Orgeron/Alleva want to let Canada go, that's fine, but he set the bar pretty damn high IMO. Creative OCs that can recruit well don't grow on trees

Yeah, those types are usually up for HC jobs.

There have been multiple posters, who knows whether they are trustworthy, that have mentioned Canada talking shite about Orgeron, LSU, Baton Rouge, etc., around town, in bars, on the golf course, etc.

Perhaps this all got back to his bosses and they didn't like it.

I personally think all this Ensminger to OC nonsense is an elaborate troll job. Or at least I hope it is.

Let's see: there's crow pie, baked crow, stuffed crow, fried crow, smothered crow, crow stew, crow etoufee, and many, many more. Just keep eating that crow brother.

Unreported by the fine sleuths of TD was that dellenger said today that “In no way, shape, or form, is ensminger being hired a sure thing”.

He coached for 10 years at Indiana under 4 different coaches.
That might be why he stayed longer than usual.

Look. I like Canada and and wish he was staying but I also have to objectively look at his past. I didn't think Ogeron was the guy and I am on the fence about him but damn! The hate that Ogeron gets is really ridiculous. This is an open question to all arse wipes that criticize him daily if they applied and were offered the head coaching job at LSU would they turn it down? I think I know the answer.

And Saban always made it back for early Mass on Sunday. Personally I don't care much what they do to wind down after a game as long as it doesn't make the papers.

I agree that it was better than we have had in a long time, but a “very good to great” scheme? Come on, Man! Canada looked completely lost in the red zone. He could not figure out what to do there the entire season. His pass plays were questionable and his running plays were less effective than those that we ran in the past.

This isn't true at all. Plenty of the local media is critical of Orgeron. Because they are somewhat objective, you see it as counter to your argument and label them as idiots.

“ May or may not be all O’s fault “

Coach O could have hired a lot of OC’s for 1.5 mil a yr, but he picked Canada. To me, that pretty much puts this cluster squarely on him if the rumors are true.

It’s pretty hard to deny that he failed to adequately research a very important hire for the LSU football program.

Much like a marriage you can research the hell out of someone and you still don't know the whole picture until you are living under the same roof with them. It is better to admit you made a mistake and correct it instead of just letting things drag on.

I say we give complete ownership of the offense to Orgeron for the rest of his contract.

That is our only option.

So what you are saying is you want a guy who at Baylor will be party to a major lawsuit and possible criminal charges leading from the sexual improprieties that occurred there during Art Briles tenure?

If that is the case, then I would rather Freeze.....at least he won't have the Texas Rangers showing up to practice with an arrest warrant.

So we shouldn’t criticize him?

Like what’s your point? He has a job people want? Sure and part of that job is people hating you and huge expectations.
