Hanny just had an epic rant to start the show. Ole Miss is going to play a guy who signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Detroit Pistons. PAID. What’s the difference with Luis?

There is some contention on whether he signed the Exhibit 10 contract and got paid or just signed it but retained his amateur status (didn't get paid). There is no contention that RJ Luis not only signed that contract and got paid but also signed a two-way contract before that.

Not rostering Luis was the right call, IMO. Now, the rest of the guys, specifically those international guys, I hope they can be rostered.

Yet reports say he did play 4 summer league games with the Pistons organization.

I'm sure he wasn't paid for those 4 games.

Just like he didn't have to sign a medical waiver with a professional team, also known as a legal contract.

But that’s not enough for Sankey.

Did Sankey and Co. forget that Mike Johnson and John Kennedy have essentially promised to tear the SEC a new a-hole if they follow through with their threats

Sankey is listening to his woke friends that Johnson won’t be Speaker much longer.

I’m in agreement that it appears no money changed hands.
At one time if you entered the draft- that eliminated you from college eligibility. That changed.
Additionally if you played in NBA pro leagues that was a no-no.
Now it seems like an exchange of money is the only factor for the SEC and Sankey.
Unless of course that money is in the form of travel money, lodging funds, medical care and food. Then you’re still good.

So gas money wouldn’t count?

Imagine joining the Big 10 lol. Baseball would win the conference every single year.

If that's the case, then it makes zero sense because these players who have any shot a the pros are already getting paid in college (and much more at times than anything they are making while trying to catch on to a pro team).
