I don't know how many times I can say it. I didn't remember anyone saying that Orgeron told him that he couldn't run 4 wides, couldn't run the QB and couldn't run up tempo. That's why I asked if anyone had any insight into this.
If these things are indeed true, then it seems pretty damn relevant to me because whose to say that Orgeron won't revert back to these same habits when the shite hits the fan in 2019 because it happens to every team at one point or another during the season.

And there it is, the daily “if you think Oregeron did something that isn’t perfect you hate him” comment from the Cheerios. Lol it never fails.

passing numbers weren’t going up.
So, that was it? His entire offense was installed in year 1, game 1?
If so, I found it interesting, but one-dimensional. I suspect he had more pass plays designed to open up the defense a little more for the run for year 2, but I don't have anything to support that. I don't mind a run first offense, as long as you can get 1st downs.

Regardless of what Orgeron did or didn't do, Canada had a garbage gimmick scheme that wouldn't work in the SEC and I'm glad he's gone. The only reason people will defend him is because if a deep hatred of Ed.

But the passing numbers did go up quite a bit actually.
Yards per game
2016- 190.1
2017- 203.5
Passer rating
2016- 135.6
2017- 153.0 (3rd highest in LSU history)
Yards per attempt
2016- 7.9
2017- 9.0
Pass TDs
2016- 12
2017- 17
We also set the school record for 40+ yard pass plays under Matt Canada and we broke the old record in week 9.

On the contrary I have a hard time believing he put that much restrictions on him as I've said several times. I'm attempting to get some sort of insight here on if this actually happened.

That isn’t true and the numbers prove it and that isn’t why and there’s no proof to support that accusation. Orgeron did the same thing last season with Ensminger at OC so your accusation simply has no basis.

The Canada hire was pushed on Orgeron. It was part of his hiring process to get that kind of guy. LSU didn’t have enough personnel to be successful with Canada’s approach at that time. Orgeron did the right thing at the time.
If you are questioning Orgeron’s steady improvement to this point, then he will never impress you.

Why the heck did this come up today?
Unnecessarily divisive IMO.
The Canada era is over. It is a red flag on the orgeron resume but last season made up for it. No reason to not let the sleeping dog lie. If it’s after game 5 and we are 3-2 with a terrible offense then this is a legitimate subject.
Otherwise it’s screams cowherd/finebaum trolling to up call ins.

If you can find some evidence of this, I would love to see it.

The adjustments they made last year was due to problems in protection and EVERYONE admitted to that. What they wanted to run wasn't going to happen with that offensive line.
And I'll remind everyone AGAIN, Canada had a history of rubbing the people he worked with the wrong way. He simply didn't belong here, especially since he was forced on them by Alleva.

He lost 3 conference games last year. Big improvement.

No he doesn’t and I’d challenge you to find any examples of that. The only time this narrative came about was after Orgeron instructed his minions in the Baton Rouge media to smear Canada once he had signed and NDA and couldn’t respond or fight back. You won’t find any other instances of Canada being a problem anywhere and you even had other coaches publicly shaming Ed Orgeron for that smear campaign he used to attack Canada last summer.
