Forget the Jimbos and Chips. This is the best scenario.

Best scenario? That is a downright awful scenario.

He will not be let go after this year. If Miles does leave I really hope they do it in a way where he "retires".

I mean, yeah, LSU fans that I know of aren't even angry and/or upset as usual. It feels very different right now. The Arkansas blowout was a pretty bad loss.

White highly over rated.

Still looks gimpy from the injury, what has it been, 5 weeks? Definitely is not at top speed.

The lack of competitiveness vs SEC teams is somewhat surprising, although 4-4 last year didn't happen out of nowhere. I am having a hard time buying Miles' assertion the guys are playing hard, yet having awful results. There are so many mistakes made on most any possession, both on offense and defense, plus just bizarrely poor punt and kick coverage units, it makes you wonder WTF goes on during game prep each week. People will point to 20 hour cap during the week, well, Arkansas did something productive with their time. What coach discounts big plays against them that are game changers? McMullen on Saturday at half time and Miles most recently after Bama and Arkansas. I just shake my head at those kinds of responses as if one could see the opposing OC scheming "Oh, we don't want any long TD plays, that's not the right thing to work for, lets just grind 1-4 yards per play."

Les has to go.

It's pathetic.

I went to the game Sat., sitting there w/ my son and friend. (and our other friend, Jack Daniels.) My son yelled at the people streaming out of the stadium with 11 minutes left, and the Tigers trailing by the insurmountable deficit of ten points.

My friend (a season ticket holder) wanted to leave. "Beat traffic." I convinced him to stay, let's see what the offense does this next possession.

Delay of game penalty. Illegal formation penalty. Players standing, looking at the sidelines.

Sense of urgency? Nada.

Also saw Jalen Mills (the experienced leader and great communicator of our defense) at one point throwing up his arms in a shrugging motion, as if to say, "What do we do?"

Also saw 10 players on the field on one of Ark's extra point attempts (we don't need no stinkin' 11 players!)

So what I see is a poorly coached team. Period. No offensive creativity, stupendously predictable.

A change is needed, NOW.

My understanding is this....No Cam no Felipe Franks. Felipe was counting on Cam as the OC. But, it wouldn't matter if Bill Walsh was the OC, it would still be run, run, incomplete pass, punt. No matter who the OC is. I guess the ghost of Bo Schembechler and CLM talk on a daily basis.

This is solid analysis. Who cares if Franks comes or goes if Miles is still here? Brandon Harris was supposed to be the second coming. He's the latest in a line of quarterbacks who, if they had any skills, atrophy under this coaching staff.

As for Wilson or any of the assistants getting Miles' job, you better hope that doesn't happen. LSU is not a place to learn to be a head coach. The last time LSU gave the head coach's job to a first-time head coach, Mike Archer lasted four years and the last two of those were losing seasons.

As for Orgeron, no thanks on him being a head coach, either. He was a failure at Ole Miss and his time at USC wasn't long enough to suggest he would have succeeded there over a four- or five-year basis. He is a good recruiter and a good position coach. I'd be all for him staying as defensive line coach with another head coach.

I figured next year would be Tigers best shot and Miles for another NC title..

To win a NC you first have to win your division then conference. I just don't think that CLM can get it done.

This is precisely what will happen, crippling recruiting and we will suck arse for years after Miles leaves. And everyone will say, "Remember when we had Les Miles and won 9 or 10 games a year?" And his legacy will remain intact despite, or perhaps because of, him being all but run off.

If it happens for years it will be because the new coach isn't as good at recruiting. Miles first recruiting class was 13 players including Perrilloux and 8 4-star players. The next season LSU signed 26 players including 2 5-stars and 12 4-stars, so he signed 12 3-stars that season.

Sure you can. But it seems odd that after 10 years and 7 games of steadfastly defending this coaching staff at every turn, you finally see the other side of the argument after only 2 games.

NCAA rules concerns are legit point, but did they actually get hit with sanctions?

answer to above

On June 26, 2013 the NCAA Committee on Infractions issued its report concluding the investigation into Oregon's use of football scouting services. Oregon received 3 years of probation, reduction of scholarships, but no bowl ban. Kelly received an 18-month show-cause penalty, which would make his hiring by another NCAA institution difficult; Kelly had already left the NCAA for the NFL.
You don't think that has hurt Oregon?
