The old way was wrong, but NIL in its current state is not the answer.

Mascona mentioned a big name that was hitting the portal and to sign with Tennesse yesterday, who was he talking about? He mentioned the NCST kid by name later as going to FSU so it wasn't him.

Maui Ahuna visited Tennessee yesterday.

They are also very in it with Tommy White. He wasn't as locked in with Florida State as it seemed early on.

My god that would be painful to watch both go there.

bump

Several posters have asked if Hanny is still in or out of the NIL biz, and if he's out, why....Was really hoping to see a response on that.

Anyone?

I have a feeling Jay is gonna pull in a big name or 2 in the portal. Don’t count him out

I concur. I would like to know why Hanny can’t keep a job ?

I remember him saying on one of his podcasts that he's not in that line of business any longer, but I don't remember if he said exactly why, but hinted that it was his choice.

Zero excuse for LSU baseball not to have the best of the best in that regard

Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured. It makes me wonder why more kids don't go the college route. Enjoy 3-4 years of college and get a degree in something that might be useful for the career. Then go MLB if possible but now you have a career to fall back on.

I don't think we have enough quality businesses that care about LSU football, basketball, and baseball.

There are a lot of wealthy alumni that don’t live in the state.

That’s why sales managers preach not to sell to your own wallet but to the wallet of the potential customer

You have no clue about the money available in this state unless you have the kind of money they are talking about.

Hanny must be back full time on Ott's show
Henry Hays convinced Hanny to leave and focus on his NIL startup Matchpoint but clearly was in over his head and now Pixley and Oliver run Matchpoint
Hays is one of those if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

Otter is on a month long vacation

Hanny will get a show when its time to renew another host

I predict a major schedule over haul with Hanny getting an 11-1 show and the 2 o’clock show be discontinued

Could look like:

OTB 7-9
Greeny 9_11
Hanny 11-1
National 1-3
AFR 3-6
Ott 6-8

Just a guess based upon observations

how long before we start hearing about the disproportionate amount of money going towards mens sports versus women's sports.... This entire NIL scheme will come crashing down sooner rather than later
. It may come crashing down but it won’t have shite to do with men vs womens sports. Who freaking cares if men get the most money. As they should very few womens sports are watchable other than softball and gymnastics. The men are the ones that bring the money in so they should have the most support. These are private donations they can’t require that the donation be equal.
