He’s going to get hot soon. I think in the Super Regionals he’s going to bat .500 with some very timely hits. It seems like once everyone starts piling on...... many times players answer..... and I believe he will. He’s going to be the hot bat of the Super Regionals.

Idk about .500, but I'll take 4-5 hits with at least one coming at a big moment. Then if the majority of his other bats can just be productive, that would be great.

Just what we needed a new Hal Hughes thread when you have easily posted in the other one.

I would be perfectly fine if he got to see at least 7 pitches every at bat.
To think he's going to get multiple hits in this super is a pretty far fetched dream. Sure i'd love it, but lets be realistic.

He's 3-54 in SEC games this year, which i think is a good indication of the level of pitching you will see in the Supers and Omaha to say the least.

me neither til i just looked it up. Wasn't hard to add it up.
He has 26 hits on the season, 3 in SEC play. I guess those mid week games really do matter.

Which means he’ll dribble some ground balls through the infield holes.

3-54! That's awful. Man, I would seriously consider drag bunting every time up. Or maybe even switch hitting. Maybe he's a lefty and doesn't realize it.

I actually think he would be better than 3-54 if he bunted or did a check swing in all 54 ab's. Seriously.

Just going by percentages...he would have a few infield hits & 1 or 2 bloop singles.

Did he get all 3 hits in game 3 of the Arkansas game?

I'd be happy with some productive outs. Move runners along. Avoid strikeouts and popups.

A strategic bunt might be nice.

So every one of his SEC hits were all in the same game against Arkansas?!?

Not sure he has the speed to beat out an infield single. Would love to be wrong.

I’d be happy if he got hot enough just to crack .200 batting average...

He needs to lead off. Why not? CPM moves everyone else up and down in the batting order. Why not Hal??
