JD has 1 year left and is competing against Nuss who just signed an NIL deal.

Even if JD wins the job, Nuss will play. Walker is way way way behind both of them.

It’s Nuss’s team for at least 2 years before Hurley takes over.

But the best part. LSU is in great shape at QB position.

Yep makes sense to me. They all can’t play and if nuss is well ahead why would he sit for 3 years?

If Nuss is even half as good as this board acts like he is, he’ll be 1 and done.

How? Walker would've been in the same driver's seat as Nuss after 2 seasons.

Nuss most likely won’t win the job but I do think Nuss is much more ready to play than Howard is. I think Nuss is by far the best QB on our roster but that isn’t going to necessarily win him the job.

Nuss looked better than Walker in the limited playing time that I've seen, but I thought people raved about how Walker played in practice. I've heard he's the most talented of the bunch, so this is a blow to the team. It may have taken another year for Walker, but my expectation is that he might pass Nuss. I think Nuss is very talented, but he still has problems with turnovers, and we don't know if he'll get past that. If Nuss didn't get over that, then Walker would've taken over. This might've shaken out in the Spring, but I was at least hoping for an open competition to allow us to choose the best 2 of the 3. Now we have to rely on 2 QBs with deficiencies to correct their deficiencies, without a chance for Walker improve enough to beat both of them out.

The talking point is "Walker is way way behind them" when the reality everyone is basing it off some meaningless snaps in a blowout bowl game

CBK knew what was at risk when he met with Walker and obviously he was open and honest with Walker and guaranteed nothing. Then Walker walks…. I’m not happy but gotta trust and appreciate that CBK is only promising that the best player will start!

The only person that could have changed this was walker howard. He clearly doesn’t believe in himself enough to disrupt the pecking order. What doesn’t make sense is this is a problem across the country. This kid has shown nothing this year; that’s not a knock on him, it’s reality, hardly any even 5 star QBs walk into a starting role. He is either going to a less competitive school or a similar situation unknown situation.

People need to just realize this is college football now. I mean it kind of has been for 10 years, it’s benefited many teams, especially at lsu. If you have a great program, a quality QB will come and take over if there is a need. Babysitting and appeasing five stars is just not worth the hassle. Now we have Kelly who appears to be one of the most well adapted at this new GM model of a college head coach. I don’t like it, but it is the way it is.

Nice to hear something that makes sense. RC can add depth. We can win with any of these guys.
