Just kidding I hate this excuse. With NIL and the portal, a program like LSU should never have talent problems at all. We have every resource that any top 25 teams have outside of the true blue bloods. It’s time to stop using the talent excuse. Gone are the days of recruiting mediocre HS guys and developing them into serviceable 3 or 4 year guys. Pony up the money and go get top tier guys. If you can’t that’s on you.

I've been hard on him but credit where it's due: the team was playing hard today and got hosed on some ridiculous calls. We still have a lot of work to do but it could've been a different result if the refs didn't suck peen

Yea the starters sucked outside of wright and cook was a fresh breath I’m just sick of the talent excuse.

This is a theme with MM teams even going back to last year: they suck in the first half and the game seems over by halftime against any team with a pulse.
I would love to sit here and say "hey we showed some fight in the 2nd half, maybe we can carry that momentum into our upcoming games". But we have a pattern of not starting games off well and more often than not being too much to overcome in the 2nd half. I don't see why I should expect different going forward. Especially once SEC play starts.
Would love to be proven wrong. A phrase I feel like I've said way too many times regarding MM in his short tenure. I want us to do well. I want LSU basketball to succeed, no matter who the coach is. If MM turned it all around and starting winning these games I would be ecstatic. I would love nothing better than to see that happen. But the realist in me just doesn't see signs of that happening.

In my opinion he is not the guy. To me, it’s inevitable he is going to get fired. How long are they willing to sacrifice the program is the question.
I also agree the portal takes away a lot of the old excuses of they need time.

Wade flipped a roster in worse shape after Johnny Jones and made it a winning team, this was pre portal era too
For basketball the “total rebuild “ excuse doesn’t hold as much water, doesn’t take much to flip a roster especially when aided by the portal.

Player development is poor and there is no in-game coaching. McMahon ain’t it.
It would be easier to be patient if either of these things existed, but this team will be bad at the same things at the end of February that it’s bad at now, which is everything. That’s the problem with McMahon.

Does anyone care enough to be mad at this point? I don’t. Apathy has set in.
Went from season ticket holder, screaming like an idiot at every home game to not even knowing who we play or when unless I read the board.
Just waiting for a reset at this point to be invested again.
