1) LSU is not paying O $10-21m plus a buyout of all the guys mentioned here

There not going to pay Napier 10-12 million pretty much the asking price for head coaches these days..he’s only won @ ULL.. not a BIG FISH

Who exactly are the big fish? Napier would be a HR hire.
He may not be expensive enough for Woodward. He has a history of overpaying for everything.

I tend to agree. If for no other reason other than there just aren’t a ton of great established coaches out there. There are even less great, established coaches that’ll jump jobs. There just aren’t that many “big fish.”
Even the “upper tier” of established coaches like Franklin, Riley, etc will have their perceived warts if they were hypothetically in play. It seems like a large portion of the fanbase is looking for a unicorn.
Unless it is a completely left field hire, if it’s a guy who is already a HC it almost has to come from a lower tier school.

Napier IS our guy, but he ain’t coming for any less than the other guys?
Unlike those other guys, Napier has already turned down numerous Power 5 HC jobs.
