I usually ignore GG but I agree with his record prediction, but I don’t agree that we lose to Ole Piss. My prediction is that our losses are to both UTs.

Don't be fooled. He is only predicting us to be 10-2 and in the playoff so that if Lane goes 9-3 and doesn't make the playoff he can write his trash LSU and Lane saying he failed to meet expectations. Don't fall for that fools tricks. He is a POS.

Maybe it’s the Purple and Gold glasses but I just don’t get why so many expect Ole Miss to beat LSU
The reason Ole Miss went to the playoffs last year is now in Baton Rouge
Most of the offensive coaching staff that helped Ole Miss win a playoff game are now in Baton Rouge
Ole Miss is now coached by Pete Golding and until he proves otherwise, really has business being an SEC head coach
I expect a fight until midway through the second quarter then the Ole Miss emotion starts to fade and LSU cruises

They have the best returning backfield in the SEC and they have home field advantage. Lane was the architect of that roster, but now Golding gets to take advantage of it. It will be a tough game to win.

Because they have largely the same team they had last year which went 11-1. They have possibly the best quarterback in the country returning.
LSU is a complete unknown at this point.

I 100% agree with all of this. But I could see this being like the 2008 LSU vs. Alabama game...only with a different outcome. The 2008 Alabama team was much better than the 2008 LSU team. However, I think the energy (fueled by animosity towards the former coach) kept LSU in the game despite being the lesser team. If LSU has an even remotely competent QB that day it probably wins the game (Lee threw 4 INTs, including a pick 6).
As much as I hate it, I can see a scenario where LSU proves to be the better team over the course of the season and, eventually, with its new HC, the much better program in the future, but on THAT day the circumstances carry Ole Miss to a win.
Hell, just two years ago (2024) Ole Miss was probably the better team. However, they didn't put LSU away early when they had chances. That kept the Tiger Stadium crowd in the game and the pressure eventually overwhelmed OM in the end.

Oh really? Because they lost 4 of their 5 leading WRs from last year, lost one of the best edge rushers in the country and their best LB that was the leading tackler in the SEC last year. They also lost literally all their best coaches. So it sounds like they lost a bit more than what you put on.

Ole Miss 2026 has the best qb and the best rb in the SEC. It will be very difficult for us to beat them in Oxford this season.
