Edit: Idk why the article says his freshman year, but mentions 2016

it's a way to link O to the story to make it sexier and have a current face to point a finger at

the author really twists the narrative to get O involved

that's bad. VERY bad

Allegedly didn’t investigate it.

That’s also the one who invites him over and is claiming she was too fricked up to consent. It’s not exactly an open and shut case. LSU May have done a cursory investigation and not felt they had anything.

Why is this just coming out now? Just curious.

b/c Guice was just arrested for DV an then cut

apparently Washington did an investigation after the DV that included interviewing these alleged victims

quote:

The woman, a former LSU tennis player, spoke at length with an investigator for Washington on Aug. 6 — one day before Guice’s arrest and subsequent release. The investigator interviewed the woman for three and a half hours, with breaks, over Zoom, asking detailed questions about the sexual-assault allegation, the woman said.

so that JUST happened

this was all likely rumors around the draft, which caused him to fall. but WAS likely did this due diligence to confirm it directly and cut him

Guice is no longer a revered lsu athlete and the victims are comfortable coming forward to the media now that he's been exposed.

Really not much else to say, if LSU was aware and did nothing, then heads are likely to roll here

none of this matters if LSU didn't do a proper Title 9 investigation

under the rules at that time, I don't think that's enough (and LSU knows it)

the problem is the 2 people most likely to face issues have already left. 3, if you want to include Miles

there's nobody left of any circumstance to fire

The AD and University President, who were properly made aware of the allegations, are gone

So, not sure how many heads are left to roll

possibly other football players feeling like they had sexual ownership over the same female athlete at LSU

So were there other players or not?

The concerns were brought up to LSU admin by the girl and then parents, and it was buried

Second part I don't get. After the "first" time there would be no second time. The second my daughter brought this to my attention or I got a whiff of it, I would pull my daughter and go scorched Earth.

The picture you are painting, at least as I am interpreting it, is that the girl was being passed around against her will at LSU by athletes and the parents were just kind of like "eh, what are you going to do." To me that has more red flags than anything.

I'm not a victim blamer, but I am very skeptical of the timing of this information coming out. Also, the football player boyfriend just avoided the guy who raped his girlfriend every fricking day of the football season?

My daughter who is an LSU student told me a variation of the drunk student story back when Guice dropped in the draft. I remember telling her it’s critical not to make unsubstantiated claims because it ruins lives but she was adamant that Guice was a bad guy with women. We had a long conversation about alcohol, mutual responsibility and the vulnerability of being a young woman. At the very least, these rumors have been widespread at LSU for years. FTR, Guice is a guy I pull for because of his background so not my intention to slur him, but just to post what I heard at that time.

That strains imagination. Hard to believe Orgeron would say or even think that!
If he did, it’s indefensible.

If LSU coaches or athletic department member were aware of the alleged rape then we have bigger issues.

blame Guice for his DV arrest. that led to a larger investigation of Guice by WAS, which is how this information got to the media

We’ve seen enough of these cases to not rush to judgement.

the issue isn't if Guice is guilty

the issue is what LSU's response was to the allegations.

I hear you, I really do, but if my daughter came to me and tells me she was raped, you ain't silencing me. I don't care who it is.

Also, we have seen plenty of people stand up against star athletes with allegations.

Again, I want to be clear, i'm not blaming the victim, and I know how hard it can be to come out, but it just seems like at the very least she was just walking around the campus getting pimped out, and her parents and coaches just planted their heads up their asses. That's the part that I am struggling with the most.
