Is an a-hole. He got bamboozled. with the SEC and television deal, he makes the SEC go to nine games for absolutely no reason. And now this man, I miss Mike Slive

Sankey is right to be against it. Just like he was right to be against the Alabama basketball player

He ain't wrong, and it is consistent with his and the SEC's position in similar cases.

I don't blame him. He has been consistent with hating this crap.

Just frustrating that we're on the wrong end of the stick here.

Chambliss didn’t sign a professional contract or participate in a professional league.

Did they file something in the Bediako case? I remember them being against it, I just don't remember if they actually filed anything (or even needed to).

Everyone who supports college sports should be against this.

LSU should take advantage of the current rules of course. But we should all not like the current rules.

No, Ole Miss did worse. Came up with a bogus tonsillitis claim for Chambliss. NCAA ruled him ineligible cause Ferris State refused to back up this lie.

Only way they got Chambliss in was to back door him with a bogus Ole Miss Alumni judge.

Where’s Stanky’s letter for that horse crap!

Out of curiosity, did he file anything in the case of the NFL guys in that recent case that included Pyburn and others?

My recollection is that they did, but I can't say for sure.

ETA: he did

This is a little different because the argument here is that if the NCAA had allowed a 5th year for 2022 players, they would not have entered the draft. Which actually makes some sense.

I mean I'm not surprised, I still think Sankey shows some hypocritical outcomes on a number of different issues but this one makes sense. Why are we okay with players signing professional contracts and going back to school? I still wish he would have acted properly and stepped in and told Chambliss to go pro that SEC wouldn't allow him to be eligible but we are in a world where people pick and choose when to stand on principle.

If Chambliss can play his 12 year of cfb, we should let some of these guy's at least have a 5th.
