USC is getting in over Tennessee if they win out. They would have to win 3 consecutive games to close the season against teams the committee is going to have ranked in their top 25.

UGA, Ohio State/Michigan winner, and TCU are in if they win out. LSU is the team that would cock block USC. The SEC champion is getting in over the Pac 12 champion.

Sorry Tigars but reality does suck. Especially when you lost 40-13.

not a terrible take, pretty much every writer I follow on Twitter said the same thing last night.

They will finish with wins against UCLA, Notre Dame and a top 12 P12 team.

Plus, the fact of the committee begging a west coast team to be in the playoffs.

To be fair, none of us has any idea how the committee will handle this if we won out and usc won out. Seems like everybody is just guessing at this point.

These people that get pissed at reporters must be young. I used to be that way but as I get older, I realize they are paid to do that.

Who cares? That's their job is to give an opinion and has 0 impact on what the committee will do.

USC beat Oregon St.

Have a better question, who has Michigan played. They’re lone ranked opponent, I believe is Penn St.

Assuming Georgia, TCU, and Ohio State/Michigan finish undefeated, the 4th seed is more likely to go to a 1-loss PAC 12 or ACC champion than to Tennessee.

This. Tenner needs help.

I'm not sure they don't. They've only beaten one Top 25 team (#25 OSU). Now they have 3 in a row. Win all 3 and it will be interesting.

This guy gets it. This is 100% CORRECT.

Laughable so many downvotes. So many of you are in denial.

First off, I'd be stunned if USC wins out. As stated earlier, the odds of LSU finishing 11-2 are better than USC finishing 12-1. If USC blew all 4-doors off of UCLA, ND, and their Pac12CG opponent, they'd be neck-and-neck with UT and might get the nod with an LSU loss. An LSU win would give the Tigers wins vs 3 teams higher ranked than anyone USC faced this year, and the SEC Championship. Unless TCU loses, I don't see USC making it to the CFP in that circumstance.

Call me crazy, but I agree with him. The NCAA is going to want a West Coast team in the playoffs for the ratings. If LSU beats Georgia and everyone else wins out, then it gets dicy for the committee. TCU and OSU/MICH would both be in if undefeated. I could see it as one SEC school and one West coast. The question would be who from the SEC. I would be willing to bet they are concerned of that scenario. It may just push the broadening of the playoffs to sooner?

I think he is right. Everyone involved wants USC in. Tv ncaa etc.

They also have a qb with star power. If they can get them in, they will get them in.

NO way they are leaving SEC champ out of playoffs if LSU wins out and then wins the SEC championship game. NO fricking way.
