QB - Hodson

Yes. Hodson had ulna nerve (elbow) surgery as a true freshman. He was a similar lanky build as Brennan at about 170. He used the recovery time as a FR to also gain about 15-20 pounds so that he was ready to play the next year.
Andolsek at OG was up there with Faneca

So? The thread title doesn’t specify “true freshman”

That’s a weird thing to get so fired up about.

Jamal Adams may have had a better statistical freshman year

Yes. Maybe you should re-read the thread title.
Here I’ll copy and paste it for you.

Greatest LSU FBall Freshman at every position?
Now point to where it says “true freshman”
Now go back and read the original post under the title. It doesn’t say “true freshman” either.

Too bad that’s not relevant to the question posed.

No freshman at any position in LSU history was as good as TM7. He had a career worth of highlights in one season.

Tyrann Mathieu was a problem at nickel his freshman season
57 tackles
2 int
4.5 sacks
5 forced fumbles

Mark Roman was SEC Def freshman of the Year in 96 at safety:
74 tackles
4 ints
6 TFLs
2 sacks
And I’m pretty sure that’s only regular season (11 games), bowl stats weren’t factored in then. So I’d say he’s ahead of Jamal and at least on par with Laron, if not the top true freshman safety.

RB- Dalton Hilliard. He was the first true freshman to start at RB and ended up being an All American.

Booger is up there if not the top freshman DL. SEC freshman of the year, had a bunch of tackles for a DT.

Best defensive freshman I've ever seen at LSU. Just made big plays all over the field
