Would like to give respect where its due. The decisions made in the last drive to run the ball and run all the clock were really great. Kudos to O and crew for that. Danielson was dead wrong about taking a knee immediately. The diamond era is real.

You wouldn't be saying that if the running back had fumbled for a scoup and score....

Yes he was. It's not rocket science either. 1 time out means two 40 second clocks. That's 1:20. Ther was 1:39 left to start the drive. Simple math says you have to use 19 seconds during the plays to run it out completely.

Work of art!

Danielson dead wrong?! You don't say?
Those who can't play coach. Those who can't coach announce. And those who can't announce sit next to me in front of the TV or in the stadium.

Yeah there’s no doubt that Florida would’ve gotten the ball back for 1 last chance to score if Miles was still coach. I understand why Danielson was saying to kneel it but didn’t agree with him. Said there would’ve been 10 seconds left for punt return/Hail Mary. I’m glad we were able to run out the clock giving them zero chance of a last second score.

Not that I particularly want to stand up for Danielson, but I feel obliged to point out that he did in fact play in the NFL.

No need to call a timeout to save the delay of game call before third down. Those 5 yards weren't more important than the second that it saved.

And LSU probably could have taken a knee on the last two downs. Just take a couple of steps back, and delay a couple of seconds before taking the knee.

Didnt let Brossette run with the ball either.....way too slow for the SEC and fumbles too much

We can easily punt it into the stands from there. But that still allows for a Hail Mary.

Lol Guice almost fumbled on 1st down. Proving that Danielson was right.

Why not just have Etling stand in the pocket before kneeling? Then you don't have to risk the exchange and burn additional time.

I thought the exact same same thing. Especially after the years of ineptness regarding this important part of the game. Hats off to Coach O for calling it right!

Yeah, but pretty bad in first half, could have cost them the game.

You do know he played 8 years for the Lions as a QB huh? Exactly what level of football coaching and playing stardom did you achieve?

Yes indeed. I also like how they hurried to the line to snap the ball to prevent a review. I think there was one goof with time management but it wasn't bad. Nice to see this as another check in the good column especially playing on the road.

Excellent time management showed a grasp of game planning that LSU has not seen in years. Don't know who was responsible for the decision but since every missed block and penalty is blamed on Ed by many on this forum then you have to give him credit for this excellent use of time as well.

You know, if at the very last minute Guice had gone for the slide (like QB's do to avoid a hit), I bet we'd have gotten a 15 yard personal foul penalty and a first down. The gator defense would not have been ready for that.
