I have an almost impossible expectations a player with a felony gun trial awaiting will be on the team

Holly will have to wait to be cleared at trail or take a plea(if offered) before lsu football is back on the table

They weren’t charged……

That’s the issue, those bama players didn’t get charged with the felony gun charges so they were reinstated

Looks like some of you assholes owe the kid an apology.

The "kid" said he wasn't involved in anything whatsoever and that it was a case of mistaken identity in his social media statement.

He's still facing a charge for illegal use of a weapon. Time will tell if there's enough evidence to support that charge.

They are charging him at shooting “in the direction” of another human being

It’s just he isn’t getting the attempted murder charges.

That’s interesting. I guess his defense was that he was just firing off some warning shots?

“Except as provided in Subsection E, whoever commits the crime of illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars, or imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than two years, or both.”

This is the sentence. Subsection E is shooting from a vehicle.

Based on the original charges and the charges currently:

People were shot.

The grand jury saw evidence Trey Holly fired his gun

The grand jury didn’t see evidence that it was Holly’s bullets that hit the people

Not sure why we are still celebrating a gun felony charge for our player

It'll be plead down to a misdemeanor with two or three years of probation and it's a whole lot better than what we feared when news first broke.

Until a plea is taken or until Holly goes to trial there is no lsu football

It’s a big win for Holly and his future as a free man

It’s not a big win for lsu football, or Holly being of great character and completely uninvolved (yet. Not there yet unless it’s proven these new charges are also bulshit. But the grand jury didn’t feel so)

It'll end up as a much smaller charge before all is said and done. Kelly will probably make him work before rejoining the roster, but ultimately he'll be back by the USC game, hopefully with better judgement.

Eh. He will plead not guilty and they will probably offer him a misdemeanor plea. I bet his suspension is lifted before the start of fall camp.

This would be my expectation. Felony charge keeps him suspended. Plea to a misdemeanor normally restores players to active status.

If he somehow is let back n the team….the fans of other SEC schools will be relentless after what LSU fans said of Brandon Miller.

If he can get a plea to a lesser charge he will be reinstated. All about that timing though

LSU fans are lucky they can make a good gumbo because that should help with the crow we receive regarding Brandon miller
