Howard will be ready but that’s not really the issue. Antagonizing Nussmeier because he wants to RS, for this exact reason, is silly. Brennan isn’t good enough to not explore what Nuss can do before he leaves.

Other QBs, sure. Brennan ain’t that dude to stunt the future over

If Nuss can’t beat Brennan out, he isn’t beating Walker out. There’s nothing to worry about here.

Enjoy your one irrelevant year you get with Myles Brennan lol

both Brennan and/or Nuss are simply placeholders till Howard is ready in 2023

The rant loves to annoint the "next one" as the savior. People begged for Nuss all season and how did that game work out ?

Who cares, if he didn’t want to compete then he can transfer

The portal goes both ways

If Myles is the guy in 2022, then Walker is the guy in 2023.

Congrats on posting a useless take.

He wants to leave, peace out. I'll take Brennan for a year with Howard coming in as a sophomore in '23.

And sorry, yes I’d prefer 3yrs of Nuss over 1 guy that didn’t want to play at LSU anymore. You’re setting up a toxic QB but I guess you will have to see it to believe it

it is amazing how many flat out retarded takes you come up with on a daily basis.

There is a new narrative every year on how the QB position shakes out. At some point y’all stop anointing people.

ok

so Howard doesn't work out and Nuss beats him next year for the #2 spot and doesn't transfer because he would be in line to start in 2023

if Nuss doesn't want to at least compete with Howard for the #2 spot next year, then I don't want him around anyways

Who would be the "toxic" QB? The guy that was ready to sign with Southern Miss last week

This is an awful take, even for Lester.
Kid has never shown toxic traits and has been a good teammate.
Stop making shite up.

I’m not calling him the future

I’m saying you want him around because the more QBs you have, the better off that spot will end up being.

Same question for Myles. Only reason he came back was there was no competition. He’s been gift wrapped the starting job. I’ll say it again—when he plays I hope he balls but the way fans have completely ignored how he left while hammering Max for it is the height of hypocrisy. Save me your “this was different/he’s a true tiger” explanation.

Not gonna buy it.

Plus, we were definitely going to get another guy from the transfer portal if Brennan didn’t come back. LE seemingly believes we had someone lined up that was a better option than Brennan. He leaves us wondering what impact this guy would’ve had on Nuss.
