Expect Alleva to make an offer now before he goes

That’s because Wade will be back.

Don't worry. Alleva will up the offer. He has a thing for giving coaches with no market value more than they are worth

I don't get it...

I know the last thing we want is Benford as HC but Will Wade brought him here for a reason, he's a great assistant coach and recruiter.

I don't like the implication for the future of Will Wade at LSU.

I actually don’t think this has anything to do with Will Wade.

If Benford takes job that means Wade is guilty and that means you are looking at major sanctions.
No one is going to want the job without a guarantee of a long term commitment after sanctions.
Other than a payday it's a career killer.

I hope you are correct...but if Benford thinks Wade will be back, why the hell would he rather be an assistant in College Station for that midget Buzz Williams vs LSU with Will Wade?

Buzz Williams is the new HC at A&M. Benford was an assistant under Buzz at Marquette before getting the NTU job. Buzz helped get him the HC gig in Texas.

Even if there were no questions with regard to Wade it's likely Benford would have at least considered going to A&M. But with the uncertainty floating around the LSU program it seems like a safe move for him.

Because him and Buzz have worked together for years before and are close friends......

He worked for Buzz before. Maybe he feels like he fits better with Buzz than with Wade. Maybe they are close personally. I can think of realistic scenarios where this might happen. Not to mention, Aggie tends to throw lots of money around these days.

Good Lord!

It's likely Benford would have gone to A&M even if there were no questions around the LSU program. He has a long time relationship and worked for Buzz Williams much longer than he has worked under Wade.

This is not unexpected

No it doesn't. Benford has a long time relationship with Tony Benford going back to Marquette. The reality is A&M is going to offer more money and that along with Benford's prior relationship with Williams was going to lure him away, regardless of the situation at LSU.
