LOL, you claim you're a LSU fan.

Stuff the towel in your pocket, cup your hands about your mouth, and yell - yell from your diaphragm (so you don't lose your voice and you can yell longer and louder).
Our Admin just really doesn't understand what makes TS's atmosphere special, do they?.

Awesome...the gold will look great on TV. Hoping for an epic environment Nov3rd, and I know Tiger Stadium won't let me down.
I'll be there making all the noise I possibly can as I watch LSU continue its BCS-era dominance of Bama.
I am 100% confident LSU wins. Bama doesn't stand a chance IMO. The only constant in the SEC over the last decade+ is LSU's dominance of it. Florida has wavered....Auburn has wavered....Georgia has wavered...Bama has wavered....Tenn has wavered......LSU has and will continue to be the most consistent power in the SEC, and Nov. 3rd will prove that yet agian.

So now The Rant has an excuse for why it "wasn't as loud as it should have been."
It is a towel who cares. This is probably just a promotional gig that LSU is contractually obligated to do.

I will not be waving a towel. I may use it to wipe my sweat off.

Don't know about gold towels, but I wish we'd treat this as another gold game.

These threads are when I love to read the rant the most.

Towels/Pom Poms may look cool but they quiet the crowd b/c you cannot clap while waving a pom pom or towel...
Being loud > Looking cool

Well at least they are not passing out gay pom poms

meh not a fan
It's LSU. Why can't we just do what LSU does instead of this kinda thing?
and while no proof, I do think it takes away from people's audio usefulness

I have never understood the towel thing. How does waving towels help your team play better?
My conclusion is that it REDUCES sound. Tiger Stadium is louder than the towel-waving and pom-pom shaking stadiums because Tiger fans yell and clap at the same time.
Oh Lord... One of the loudest games I've ever been to was LSU vs. Tennessee in 2000 and they gave out white towels for that one.
I think seeing tons of towels waving frantically in the air gives off the feeling that everything is not calm. I think that's not a bad effect for a visiting team. Ultimately, the players have to play.

Please everyone, for the love of God, don't wave them.
Yes, it looks cool on tv but it keeps you from screaming/cheering as loud as you can.
1st: When you scream and wave your arm it causes you to use your abdominal muscles to stabilize your self and oscillates your decible output instead of it staying at a loud constant level.
2nd: You no longer use two hands to cup around your mouth to give a megaphone effect.
3rd: The towel in front of your face blocks/muffs some of the sound being projected and makes it even quieter.
Ask yourselves this... If you were a player on the field would you rather hear an 85 decible level yell with cool yellow towels being waved or a 105 decible level fricking roar?
Who do I need to contact at LSU to try to convince this not to happen?
Please tell me you're kidding...I can be Internet sarcrasm retarded sometimes.
