I liked that they gave yellow towels at the 2007 BCS Championship game. I think it is a pretty cool look, I also kept my towel as a souvenir.

I have never understood the towel thing. How does waving towels help your team play better?
My conclusion is that it REDUCES sound. Tiger Stadium is louder than the towel-waving and pom-pom shaking stadiums because Tiger fans yell and clap at the same time.

It does look great on TV during the baseball games (Giants, Cardinals, etc.) so I don't see a huge deal. But my prediction is that the towels will be waiving for about the 1st quarter and then the fans will just go back to what they're used to, clapping, cupping thier hands over their mouths to yell louder, throwing half full cups of bourbon and coke in the air, etc.

We are not a pom pom stadium, however have to admit looks cool when they are flying. Gold towels flying will be cool as well - not to mention the negatigers will have a means to clean themselves when Saban walks out on the field. It's a win win.
