One second people are saying we are too cheap to pass out shirts then calling us desperate when we pass out towels. I hate people.

Waste of frikkin money - towels are for nfl teams and Pom pons are for sissy fans from the state of Alabama

Please everyone, for the love of God, don't wave them.
Yes, it looks cool on tv but it keeps you from screaming/cheering as loud as you can.
1st: When you scream and wave your arm it causes you to use your abdominal muscles to stabilize your self and oscillates your decible output instead of it staying at a loud constant level.
2nd: You no longer use two hands to cup around your mouth to give a megaphone effect.
3rd: The towel in front of your face blocks/muffs some of the sound being projected and makes it even quieter.
Ask yourselves this... If you were a player on the field would you rather hear an 85 decible level yell with cool yellow towels being waved or a 105 decible level fricking roar?
Who do I need to contact at LSU to try to convince this not to happen?

Oh man. Haven't thought about Jai and his towel waving in a good while.

it makes it even louder - that is why sporting events that have towels and shakers always seem way louder than other stadiums (LSU is the exception) Did you see the Giants game last night? And next to LSU, the 3 loudest college stadiums are Auburn, Tenn, and Bama

I hate stupid stuff like this...we're not the Pittsburgh Steelers. Why is everyone into this copying each other thing, everyone is using the towels!

Is only one team allowed to pass out towels to fans?
Dont wave the goddamn thing if you don't want to. Take it to the men's room and wipe your arse with it.
Jesus some of you people bitch worse than any woman I have ever met.

Shirts will happen, however we will hear how they were the wrong size and that they weren't made with preshrunk cotton.
That stadium will be loud a frick with or w/o towels. Yea it's for TV, but I don't understand why one would be adamantly against it.

Yeah and look how our stadium layout is. Mush more spread and open. If our stadium was built like Bryant Denny it would trap more sound. The towel will not add any sound.

That time when passing out towels for a game becomes a big story on here....

San Francisco Giants fans were using them, Detroit Tiger gans were using them.

Thanks for your permission, I don't plan on it.

No shite, so I guess its only copying when LSU does it because then you can bitch about it.

Haha. As everyone reads my post and thinks about it (the towels, lower sound levels, stadium layout) they stop posting positive things about how they can't wait for the towels...

It's not. And I feel like it would definitely look cool. But it would considerably lower the noise level.
Not something I want to happen.

Lsu tends to get the cheapest towels known to man for things like this. The gold towels handed out at the basketball game last year fell apart when you touched it. The stadium will be filled with fuzz by the end of the 1st qtr.

If you don't like it send them to me.
