Seriously? An LSU fan is criticizing the behavior of another fan base? You have got to be kidding?
We don't throw beer bottles at opponents team buses, to the point of breaking the bus windows... like you all did in 05 when UT came to town.
Or...How bout throwing eggs at the AU team buses in 05 and even going so far as to try and tip one of the buses over.
I personally have no problem with the way you treat Auburn because, well, they're Auburn. But dont dare be hypocritical and criticize ANY other fan bases for how they act. If you absolutely cant resist the urge to attack another fan base then at least do it to a truly deserving base, like, say, FLORIDA.
The LSU fan base is so bad that the LSU student newspaper ran a story on how hostile LSU tailgaters were to opposing fans. To prove it, female staffers from the university’s student newspaper roamed the school’s notorious daylong drinkathon disguised in Alabama gear. “We were groped and squeezed by just about every guy we interviewed,” they reported. “The women called us ‘bitches’ and the men called us ‘counts.’” Anything else? “The amount of times we were spit on also struck a nerve.”
Yep, way to go rednecks.

actually I'm non-violent, so don't project your homoerotic feelings of needing another man to touch you onto me.

Are you going to the game...I'd love to invite you to my tailgate.
Seems that you are the one projecting.

+1. I have not had any problems in Gumpland. Pretty laid back fans IMO.

A bit embellished don't you think. I know the bottles and eggs flew at the buses but I don't recall windows breaking. So what.
Tipping a bus over??? Come on man.

I was in Tuscaloosa in 2009. I wasn't harrassed leaving the stadium or at any point during the evening after the game, which I spent at The Houndstooth. In fact, a lovely lady wearing crimson bought me a drink as a gesture of sympathy. The atmosphere was depressing, not violent. However, it sounds as if my experience was atypical.

besides the one off issue here and there, I never have issues with bama fans. Actually as a whole a decent bunch.

I've had more issues in T-town than anywhere else. In 2005, I was essentially tackled from behind by some fat drunk guy walking down the ramp leaving the stadium. Nothing came of it, because I didn't overreact.
Then once we got outside, the Bama fans we were with left us in anger. So my friend and I stood on the sidewalk for about an hour trying to contact someone to pick us up. During that time, some frat guy came up to us several times, saying he was going to kill us. he eventually got arrested by the cop who watched it for a good half hour. Nothing happened, because we didn't overreact.
After that, we decided to camp out in the Arby's down the street. Another group of angry little gumps were in there and were verbally assaulting us for 10 minutes. They got bored and left, because we didn't overreact.
2009, I told the people around me they were being jerks for booing an injured LSU player. I was told a few times that I was about to get my arse kicked (I was also told to "put it in perspective" I still don't get that one). One guy grabbed my shoulder and said something like "nobody wants you here". They got pissy when I told him to not touch me. I left at halftime and went back to the tailgate. Nothing bad happened, because....I didn't overreact.
Hopefully everyone gets the message. All that being said, t-town is still my favorite away game. Similar to LSU, the bad ones are miserable, but the more plentiful good ones are awesome.
I'll be there next weekend.

What does this mean exactly? Did he just stumble into you or did he actually try to throw you down?
I don't believe I would've been able to keep my cool on that one. Yelling is one thing, but I can't put up with it when they lay hands on me.

The fans with the university sanctioned rammer jammer cheer they play after they win, tell other fans not to "rub it in."
