Every single person on this board knew this season would be rough. But just as a reminder...
Ed fricking O was the HC. The red bull pounding, shirt ripping, "roll time what, frick you" screaming, let the players run the locker room, rah rah bull shite HC. The culture shift from that shite to the CBK era is titanic. We knew it would take more than 1 year for it to really take hold.
We had 42 scholarship players for the bowl game last year and a WR playing QB. Spare me the recruiting rankings argument and whatever bull shite you want to use and say the roster is stacked. It isn't. Most of the talent is gone at that point. No team with 42 scholarship players at the end of the year has a stacked roster. Just the reality.
We brought in 16 players from the transfer portal and 15 freshman. 8 transfers and 5 freshman are either starting or seeing significant playing time. 2 freshman are your starting tackles, a walk-on is your best back, a transfer is your starting QB, the entire secondary is made up of transfers, and on and on and on. We knew it was a patch work roster that would struggle at times, especially against the better teams in the SEC.
Now fast forward to Saturday.... holy shite some of you went full retard. Like it or not, Tennessee is now one of the best teams in the SEC and will challenge Georgia for the East. Get over the superiority complex just because we're LSU. This team will win 7-8 games. They'll win one they aren't supposed to and probably lose one they aren't supposed to. It's just the position this program was put in by the previous regime. We need to accept the reality that the adults are in charge now and they most certainly know better than any swinging dick on this board.
Daniels is starting because he is the best option, special teams looks like shite because we don't have the horses for it to be a strength, the defense got beat because scheme finally got outmatched by talent. That's all there is to it.

Somebody has a brain I see… however polian and denbrock should be on a tight rope… denbrocks offensive scheme reeks of cam Cameron and dinosaur age plays… you can’t win football games with a depleted inexperienced O-line and plays that take 3-4 seconds to even be close to developing and as for as polian, every game special teams speaks for itself ..
Our offense should just run the 2 minute playbook for the rest of the year

See, you start off on a basis that just isn't true. We should be better than what we are.

It's too early to be writing rage paragraphs..
Almost no one is mad we lost. People are mad we looked like shite, regressed in some areas, and had some idiotic game management decisions. Not to mention the offense has consistently sucked despite this board and people like OP sweeping it under the rug each week.

If we are being objective, this is one of the worst fanbases in college football (possibly in sports).
Saban even commented on the Disaster Syndrome over here.
There's no rationality whatsoever, just constant panic, disaster, wanting the coach fired after 6 fricking games, every QB benched.
No patience, just low IQ stupidity.

Quicker you learn that this board has a lot of fake LSU fans, the better.

This right here. I expected a loss, but I didn't expect an embarrassment.

If you think the fans suck now watch this board implode if Napier beats us.

It is possible to BOTH understand getting LSU back to a national championship contender is a work-in-progress AND be frustrated by the horrible play/coaching on Saturday. Is Tennessee a better team than LSU this year? That seems pretty likely. Is it unfathomable that LSU would lose to Tenn.? No. Is Tennessee THAT much better than LSU that they should physically dominate and easily outcoach LSU on their home field? Absolutely not.
LSU got physically manhandled from start to finish on Saturday. Guys like Roy, Ali Gaye, etc were pushed around all game. The WRs couldn't get any separation from DBs that gave up 400+ yards to a QB who had not thrown a TD pass until he played Tennessee. You say this...
Yet three of the biggest blunders were made by players (Nabers and Bech) who the board considers to be top tier players.
Hooker is playing tremendous football. But if you cycle through the 2023 NFL draft prospect rankings you are not going to find a lot of highly rated Tennessee players. In fact, the one guy you would see, Cedric Tilman, DIDN'T EVEN PLAY against LSU on Saturday. Tennessee had a great QB to execute a game plan that LSU was clearly unprepared for (LSU's defensive players were struggling to line up on the 2nd series of the game...so don't say it was because the offense kept them on the field too long)
LSU got outcoached and outplayed in every single aspect of the game on Saturday. Hopefully that is a "one-off" for the season and the rest of the games will be more competitive. But to suggest LSU is significantly more talent depleted than the rest of the SEC is ridiculous. Are they less talented, overall, that many of the LSU teams of the past? Yes. Are they less talented overall that Alabama, Georgia and maybe Texas A&M? Also yes. But some on here act like this is a Vanderbilt or Missouri level talent pool. It isn't. Neither of those teams is likely to have a player drafted in the top 100. LSU might have 2 or 3 (if they choose to enter the draft) and would have more but for the fact they aren't draft eligible yet.
So yes, being angry LSU isn't a championship level team this year is absurd. But it is equally as absurd to think this should be a bottom of the barrel SEC team. There are 6 games left to play. Only Alabama (with Young at QB) seems significantly better than this LSU team. So there is no reason games against Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas, A&M, shouldn't be competitive...if the coaches make the necessary adjustments (particularly on offense).

The people on this board do not reflect the fan base at whole of even close to a majority. This place is a loud minority of people who want to get their opinions out and heard anonymously because they don’t have any other outlet.

Scrolling through some of the threads this morning, you would not get this impression. Some mouth breathers are calling for the firing of coaches 6 games into YEAR ONE.

This I get, and feel in many respects. The offense sucks because our best option at QB is struggling to make decisions. We all see it. I can't even say that the play calling is bad because we can't get a good read on it with the way Daniels is playing. But he's our best option. Nuss hasn't looked great is in his action and sticking Howard back there behind that line will absolutely destroy that kids development, similar to what Miles did the Lee.
