Literally meaningless. Everybody has an opinion. I'm not an O fan but at this point as a fan all you can do is let it ride. I would say though that O et all know more about football talent than Guilbeaux.

Couldn't agree more Cliff. You and I rarely agree about the direction of the program, but I appreciate your enthusiasm and passion. At the end of the day, we all want what's best for LSU. We just disagree on how to get there. I enjoy the healthy debate and I wish more felt that way.

The defense, outside of CB, is pretty stacked with talent.

We have a very talented QB, very talented WRs, and good talent on the OL.

This is pretty foolish.

Running game will be the weakest we have seen since before Kevin Faulk arrived. Cornerback depth just isn’t there and almost no experience. OL is gonna get tested a lot. WR group doesn’t excite me much either but they don’t have much experience either. Giles has great tape but we don’t throw like Texas Tech so I really don’t know what he will do here. Nobody knows what we have at QB so I’ll hold my excitement until we start putting up 300 yards a game. Our DL looks good. I’ll end on a positive. Oh and hopefully the kicker is really legit. Can’t be worse than last year.

I am saying after I watch the 3 first games they play I will then make my call - If they win all 3 of the first 3 I expect them to go 12-0 - does that make me a jerk off?

That’s what I said. I wanted to see more than a shitty spring game and hear about Burrown practicing well before I had answers. Right now all we have to go off of isn’t very good. It’s all talk and people trying to hype up anything.

So basically what GG was trying to say is that as of right now he doesn’t see this team blowing anyone’s minds. And you’re agreeing you need to see three games.
Seem like you’re in the same boat.

If you read my first post on this thread - I said in football you can't hide. It all shows - what I expect from this team is on the upward trend. Not what many like Guilbeau is saying on national radio. What I hope will play out or not. Nothing more nothing less - I am and have always been a 1/2 glass full guy. Can't help it!

We will all see and any one posting on a LSU football site in May - you have purple blood and that is good with me!

What positions do you refer to? We have the best cover corner on the right side and elite safeties. We have multiple choices for the other corner and I'm confident one takes control of that spot. We have a great front 7 and we are deep at every position there. We now have a QB and some of the best talent at wide outs. OL is big and strong and we getting our tackles back for fall practice. I get it you don't like the head coach but this is a talented team

I'm getting confused with the narratives. The main O detractors have said that pointing out talent deficits, injuries and schedule are excuses. Then they argue we don't have the talent to be successful.

O "detractors" aren't the ones using talent as an excuse. Try again.

Maybe, but the ones we have may just surprise us.

Not much depth, but barring injuries our CB's should do well.

Strengths:

Both lines and depth
Safeties
WR's and depth
LB's and depth
Very likely, QB

Sounds pretty good to me.

I expect that too. With the talent and resources LSU provides, we should be better than we’ve shown.
I’m skeptical about our trend and where we’re headed. Last year didn’t really do anything to prove we’re on the rise.
Far from negative, just objective. I want LSU to win just as bad as anyone here. We all have an opinion, I just like people to explain theirs when I disagree with it.

Here’s to hoping your ban bet holds and we’re 12-0

Burrow has attempted 39 passes in college.

Brennan attempted 24 last year.

You guys are morons sometimes.

This is best defensive line we've had since 2011. I think LSU is going to surprise a lot of people this year, including most of the whinny posters on this board.

Talking about Aranda - hard to have a great D when you have limited CB play

When nick took over we had hookfin, converted wr in corey Webster, two star travis daniels at corner, and jack hunt, another converted wr at safety.

Hard to argue against this...

Defense should be fine but the secondary scares me.

Wow, really?
Marshall - #1 WR in country
Chase - 4/5 star
Anderson - 6'6 JR
Sullivan - 6'6 JR
Davis - 6'4 JR
Dillon, Jefferson

Our returning WRs accounted for 534 yds receiving with outgoing Chark and Gage totaling 1159 so we do return about 1/3 of our WR production.

The qb situation is going to be better than anything we’ve had since Saban left us with Flynn and Jamarcus. I think burrow and Brennan will both play in the nfl.
