This.

I love how someone who follows LSU for a living is wrong, but some jerk off on TD, who is never objective is right.

GG is a tool bag for the record.

I can rattle off big names too, and show records of having 2, 3 and 4 loses.
Hell, just going into last year the same people would say “oh we have KT2 and Jackson, LSU is going to lock down the corners, no one is passing on us.”
Now I hear “oh blah blah is going to step up and we’re going to be nasty on defense”
Really? How do you know?

I’m not negative I’m just pointing out some of the question marks.
Burrow - hasn’t even taken a snap at LSU, is not even the starter yet.
CB - is a huge question mark. Not only do we not know who’s starting, but we’re really thin.
RB - We don’t have a starting runningback. Think about that. We don’t have a proven running game.
OL - Had injuries, young and we don’t know how well they’ll be together, because we didn’t see them play in the spring game.
OC - we have a new offensive coordinator. We don’t know how it’s going to work out. You only saw 35% of the offense in the Spring.

With all that said, how can anyone look themselves in the mirror and predict 10-2 or better?
You simply don’t know how any of what I mentioned is going to work out. It’s May!

So just relax, and quit calling people who see things for what they are, negatigers or whatever you like to say.
Everyone wants LSU to win.

You’re being emotional, he’s being objective. My link below is a thread showing returning production. LSU ranks 122 in the country. If you’re being objective and ineltellectually honest, you would see that he’s probably right and that this could set up as a rough season due to inexperience. 2019 should be much different.
There's a couple ways to look at this. But overall, yep- this is where coaches earn their pay, or fail miserably.

One way of looking at it...
- we lose THE key producers all over the offense: top-2 WRs, a QB, top-2 RB, both our starting tackles (at begining of 2017), and our highest graded OL at C.

On defense a starting CB, the rotational CB, alot of the DL.

The other way of looking at it...
It's not like we're replacing many of those with freshmen. In fact, last year they were freshmen in many cases and while they didn't perform well in most cases they've got some experience now and some time to develop physicall [here comes the "excuses" and "goal-posts" chants by Rantifa].

In a couple of places we may improve with the replacement. Example: while he hasn't played a game, Shelvin has 1.25 years of practice behind him and should be an upgrade. Giles and Lewis should be productive transfers, possibly upgrades. Chaisson is also a good example.

So while there's been turnover of starters, there has been "prep" for that. To me, it is still a worry, but mainly in spots (QB, RB, RT, CB).

Dude you just spewed a shite ton of opinion and “you simply don’t know how it’s going to work out” as your main point.

Yet you are trying to say your negatives will work out.

Good stuff

Guilblow cares about one thing, web traffic. He's a contrarion, just like Skip Bayless, Danny Kanell and Tiger Ree. They want the attention and love when you guys talk about them.

This idea he's throwing around is total nonsense. According to 247, LSU was the 6th most talented team in the county last year. LINK

We've seen it mentioned on this board over and over and over again that LSU was very young last year and played 30+ freshman. That's been the narrative all off season. So, after adding these amazing transfers and "beefing up the lines", I'm supposed to believe that now LSU doesn't even have top 25 talent? Get the frick outta here Guilblow. Fricking clown of all clowns.

Manziel took a 7/8 win aggie team and they were 3 TDS from being undefeated.

Burrow can be as good as Manziel

Totally agree. The big question mark was quarterback. That was the game changer position where people said we really needed that guy and it's a different story. Well, we have a dude that could very well be that guy. Of course there other concerns like lack of depth at cb but the front seven will presumably be able to negate that for the most part bc we are loaded up front. Burrow is a game changer at qb. I'm optimistic based on overall talent on the roster, a capable, mature quarterback and a favorable schedule that provides the stiffest tests at home.

6 losses with this team would be an unmitigated disaster and would be unacceptable.

Not according to the roster recruiting rankings done on 247

Probably around 7-8

No CBs? Greedy is one of the best in the conference and Vincent will be good. He’s right on everything else though.

6 years, actually. Les only had 8 juniors declare from the 2005 to the 2012 season, 3 total after the 2005- 2010 seasons , 2 after 2010, 3 after 2011. 11 after 2012 was the killer, then 7 after 2013. Then back to 3 then 2 after 2014 then 2015.

So in miles tenure, 2 seasons with more than 3 juniors declaring. Those 2 years painted a false narrative, IMO. Nick in his 5 years, had 7 leave. Les had 8 leave in his first 7. But 31 in 11, 18 of those in 2 seasons, 13 in the other 9.

O has 10 in 2.

All that being said, I think that some of this is related to where the game is going as much as the coaches.

I don’t think it is.

So if we go 3-0, you’re ban betting we go 12-0?

Anyone take your action, yet? I have no desire to bet against you when I would truly enjoy watching LSU go 12-0, just curious.

I'm getting confused with the narratives. The main O detractors have said that pointing out talent deficits, injuries and schedule are excuses. Then they argue we don't have the talent to be successful.

My take is we have the talent to be successful, but we lack the experience. How quickly they settle in and learn their respective systems will determine how the season plays out. We are thin at CB, but we are adding a CB/S (Joseph)that was a 5 star CB. Alexander can at least provide depth and experience.

We have a drop off at RB based on past elite talent, but that doesn't mean that we won't be OK in the run game. CEH will be solid and I have confidence Curry can be a good inside runner. They won't make us forget Fournette and Guice, but we will be less reliant on the run game in 2018.

WR - We lost Chark and Gage, but coming in to 2017 they were new starters too. Giles was a 1K yad/10TD receiver his last year at TT. Sullivan, Anderson, Davis and Dillon are all JRs. Jefferson has emerged as a solid player and we have the #1 HS WR in Marshall.

TE - We are more talented then we have been in years with Pettigrew, Moss, Moreau and Jacory Washington

QB - Talent is there, they are just inexperienced. Now Burrow brings us a seasoned player.

OL/DL - More depth then we have had in a while.

LB - Deeper and more talented.

Defensive front 7 will be better than last year.

Safety - We can't even get the #1 HS safety (Stevens) on the field because of our talent.

If GG wants to talk experience yes he would be right. The talent is there.

why so much name calling on this site ?

I am just a nice old man that enjoys LSU football

If I thought they are going to be awful I would say so - I am saying after I watch the 3 first games they play I will then make my call - If they win all 3 of the first 3 I expect them to go 12-0 - does that make me a jerk off?

I watched nearly every snap of Jontre Kirklin’s high school career and the boy is a football player and a top notch athlete. I have no doubt he is ready to shine at the CB position. Next Corey Webster.
