Best part I bet if Jayden stinks it up(hope he doesn’t) this coaching staff will go with option #2 or #3 this isn’t Les or Ed coaching.

Daniels’s running ability is obviously a big part of him being selected to play QB so it’s irresponsible not to include that part of his game in any discussion of his skill set. So last year he was responsible for 17 TDs and 10 ints. Not great but still much better than he’s given credit for. (If you look even further into his INTs, half of them were not his fault). But that doesn’t fit your narrative so you’d never do that.

All that being said, I don’t think Daniels is going to be great, but I do think that we shouldn’t judge him til we actually see him play in an LSU uniform.

the best passer of the football should be LSU's quarterback. I hope that guy is still on the team

Watching some 2021 game film...
Great on called runs, zone-read type deals, but when scrambling he isn't impressive.
Accuracy drops drastically under pressure.
Tends to overthrow on the move (leading to picks).
Drifts backwards too much.
Can be baited by safeties (leading to picks).

Based on film, this SI review sound about right...
quote:

After his freshman campaign, Daniels looked like a potential first-round pick. His game hasn't improved much, and he is still very undersized. He makes too many poor decisions and lacks poise, though. Daniels still has an NFL-caliber arm and can run, but his tape left much to be desired. Daniels is probably two years away from being an NFL prospect but has traits to work with, so he should be on scouts' radars.

If you are referring to Myles, he might have realized his time had gone. I like him and what he did here. Time keeps on slipping into the future.

I hope Daniels balls out for us but our fan base is going build him up to be the next Kyler Murray. Then when he struggles they will turn on him fast. I agree with the poster about adults being charge though. If Daniels isn’t getting it done BK will make a change pretty fast unlike our previous coaches.

“Joey B failed at OSU spring game but came and killed“

Not true! Joe was the best at both spring games!

If Daniels is the starter this will be the weakest spot for LSU on offense. Keeping it real. I hope the rest of the team can pick it up. We don’t need to be celebrating our weak spots or be delusional about it b/c what happened 3 years ago.
Reading through on your arguments so far not one is valid, you have Cherry picked. Then everybody gave you one example after another why Daniels will be successful yet you continue the dog on him. I think you are nog judging by his football abilities.

And, if he isn't on this team? The guy who quit us twice certainly isn't the answer either. Move on...

I believe Daniels will be average at best and do not expect him to win any SEC games for us when it depends on him stepping up and making good decisions with the ball and quality throws in typical SEC tight coverage. In other words I expect him to rely on his speed and legs get things done even when that is not the proper choice. That’s not going to cut it in the SEC. I also believe Kelly is a far better judge of QB talent than I am or ever will be so my opinion means nothing! I will pull for my Tigers regardless of who’s taking snaps but my expectations for the season are no where near where they would have been if Daniels is in fact the chosen starter. I was thinking a 8-4 season but with Daniels under center I think 7-5 at best and more likely 6-6 .

Yet he was hesitant scared to make a decision and waited for receivers to come open instead of throwing them open great arms don’t always been wins

As long as his teammates will "run through fire" on his behalf and totally believe he can lead them to victory, I really don't care.

Trust the experienced coaching process.
