Is that what we’re doing? We’re cherry picking?

Well, we’ve come to the conclusion that last year he was mediocre. That’s what the numbers say, correct? We are obviously not taking ANY consideration of the talent around him. Football is by no means a team sport. So that’s covered…

Now do his previous 2 years…one him being a true freshman…

22 TD/7 INT, 60% comp. percentage.

His freshman year was 3 years ago. You do realize that right?

Alot can change in 3 years. Prime example Ed Orgeron.

Why did he regress?

Look, I think that we’re all drinking the camp kool aid and LSU will probably end up 8-4ish….but QB isn’t the problem child of this bunch.

You’re reaching a mile for straws. Kind of waiting for you to break out the race card at this point.

So it's not all possible he regressed when the numbers show he has?

And yesterday’s scrimmage was 24 hours ago and he looked really good.

I just checked JDs recruiting profile. He was compared to Deshaun Watson and rated a higher dual threat QB than Peter Parrish. This is our guy.

Still wish we hadn’t taken him and could have kept both Nuss and Brennan. Howard is going to be Hodson 2.0 so it’ll be moot after this year but still.

His passing stats decreased….

He was 8th overall in the PAC-12 in rushing last season. As a QB.

Since he regressed as a QB, did he just become a better running back?

Tell me WHY he regressed and his numbers decreased

Brennan didn’t want to play football anymore. His heart wasn’t in it and face it…he wasn’t good enough to play in the SEC. Heavy feet, slow hands, and slow decision making was ultimately his demise.

I really don’t care who starts but you acting like Nuss is better prepared to start is just dumb!! Neither QB has played top notch SEC defenses but 1 has played 30 plus games in a P5 conference and the other 1

He ran it more because they called more designed running plays for him.
What else could they do with him throwing it to the other team.

So yes he got kore rushing yards because he was a shittier passer.

QB rating went down every year since 2019.

I was at the Spring game and thought he looked the part. Friends kept talking about Nuss, but I told them a lot of the plays that were blown dead due to protecting the QB would’ve been big plays with his legs. He has special burst for a QB. Not saying he can’t throw, his speed just stood out.

Just under 30 I think, but otherwise agreed.

He regressed from his freshman year against Pac 12 defenses.
He also had future 1st round pick Brandon Aiyuk to throw to his freshman year.

Just wait you'll see instead of trying to argue.

This thread will be available for a bump early in the season, which I will utilize and say I told you so.

Daniels has big aspirations. We’ll see how he does, but he definitely didn’t come here to chill. He has big aspirations and goals in football.

He was the #1 dual threat QB prospect in ‘19 and nearly a 5 star. He was in a shitty situation last year at ASU where he lost his OC, half his OL, and WRs.

Sounds like Jayden has been busting his arse in the off-season and even brought the WRs with him to California to train. He is hungry and it’s his money year. Nuss will get some snaps too knowing Kelly’s history of QB playing. I know it’s not official yet but I’m excited to see what Jayden can do with our weapons. Cheers to one last saturday without CFB on fellas. Cheers
