LSU is a shite show. Orgeron is comical. They should win.

But they keep saying should.

Few want to say it's a sure thing.

Six or not, LSU being erratic and young is scary.

Is this the thread where I'm supposed to pretend like being a 20 point underdog is better than being a 7 point dog like the last few years?

It's not. Nothing is ever for sure in football.

Negative. We were tossed from the top 25 prematurely. Miss state was embarrassing, but miles and saban both NEARLY lost to troy. The Syracuse +9 seemed to represent how sad a state the team was in... But Clemson happened.

The reality is, last year we were tied 0-0 in the fourth.

We have a puncher's chance.

I like those odds.

It will just make it that much more fun if LSU pulls the upset.

Meh, this is the worst I've felt about LSU's chances in the last 15 years, but yes, there is still a chance.

Trust me they're concerned. They know LSU is a team that can pull it off.

Oddly, I feel better about this team than 2011.

They don't have the experience. They don't have the depth. They don't have 8 NFL players suited up.

But they have heart. And the coaches want it more than anyone else has in years.

Honestly, beating bad teams and upsetting Auburn doesn't mean LSU is very good.

Honestly, the SEC is just that bad. When you have 12 bad to horrid teams, the types of games you are seeing will happen. It has more to do with matchups than anything.

I am glad people are enthusiastic, but realistically, LSU should lose by 15+ points to Bama. Their defense will likely be the best we'll face all season by a ridiculous amount, and LSU has struggled against mobile QBs this year. The last three wins came against teams with pocket passer QBs.

Orgeron is not a good coach, and while I don't think he should be fired, I have no faith that he will improve this program over 2014-2016 levels, and in fact, think they may go down over time.

That said, I hope LSU wins although I can't fathom it happening.

We didn't deserve or have any claim to the top 25 at the time we were tossed from the top 25.

You didn't have to do that to yourself just to bring back the word.

If we had a more dynamic play maker at quarterback then I would say yes we have a solid chance but we do not. We are extremely limited there by Danny’s abilities. Teams that have beaten Alabama all have one thing in common, a dynamic play maker at quarterback.

To win this game LSU would have to play a perfect game and get breaks and have Alabama play the worst game ever they have played all season. Not saying it can’t happen because nothing is ever certain but it’s likely not to

Feed them some more "rat poison"

For example "There is no way this young inexperienced team coached by a comically inapt moron can stay on the field with such a talented and well prepared well oiled machine as Alabama"

Coach O at USC was an interim. He was not their real head coach.

A lot of the issues with this team are because of O's plan for how to run the program, which has included some of the weak play physically, transfers, and subsequent depth issues as well as some of the assistant coaching hires he's made.

He did none of that at USC.

Almost all of the coaches are the same. Why do they want it more now?
