Oof.. that'll teach Nicholls to schedule a CJJ team at night in February. Probably half their budget for the year is out of the window now.

You think Nicholls State really came up with this schedule without consulting with Jay Johnson? Why in the world would Nicholls risk playing against LSU at home when we all know this game is a huge money maker for them? I hope that it is rescheduled.

Nope and the Nicholls State softball team is playing right now

We have high schools in the state traveling further than LSU to Nicholls

Canceling today and playing Friday logically does not make sense

I'm in Lafayette. It is 35 right now. It will be 25 tonight if the clouds clear out - which they will.

Friday MORNING will be 26, but it will be sunny most of the day and the high will reach 48 and will be going down to 38 by Sat. MORNING.

CJJ, in talking about playing the home opener in the afternoon vs a nite game, said he wasn't about to pitch Paul Skenes in 28 degree weather 2yrs ago. Safe to say he knows what not to do as well as what to do, especially when it comes to the pitchers. Nothing to do with being smart / dumb / weak, it's what in the best interests of his players.

Friday at 1st pitch in BR will be about 50 degrees and NOT heavy wind. Game is at 4pm. Saturday's game at 2pm will be in lower 50's but no big winds. If forecast holds, no games will be played on Sunday as it has 87% chance of rain that day. Maybe play a DH on Saturday.

Tonight winds at 15-20mph and temps in high 30's is too damn cold to play an irrelevant game. Playing at night with low temps and high winds is a ridiculous idea. Reschedule.

Was looking forward to watching it. Seems like LSU's trip to Nicholls is Coach Johnson giving a nod to Coach Haring getting the head job down there after spending last season at LSU.

To be fair, there’s a reason they all come down south to play in the first couple weeks of the season

Did wherever they're playing get as much rain as Nicholls did? Genuine question.

Someone on this board that is in Thib said they got a lot of rain and that probably played into the decision.

I really have no idea.
