LSU shot 11 free throws today. They are 18th in the nation in FTA per game at 24.
They have shot over 20 free throws in 15 of the last 18 games. The only game they shot less than the 11 today was in a double digit win against college of Charleston in November where they shot 10.

Florida committed 10 fouls in this game, despite the fact that 2/3 of our 73 points came in the paint in this game, and we had over twice as many points in the paint as UF did. That is their lowest foul total for a game this year. They average 18 fouls a game, and give up on average 18 FTA per game.

Florida took 26 free throws today. They have only had 3 games all year where they attempted more. They average 17 FTA per game.

Long story short Florida took 9 more free throws than their season average, and LSU took 14 less free throws than their average. 25 free throw discrepancy. On average teams that play UF shoot more free throws than them and foul less, both by a small margin.
LSU takes way more free throws than their opponents on average, and fouls less than their opponents.

It was quite clear what happened today.
Not a single ticky tack foul was called on UF all game.
Marlon Taylor was called for an off ball foul. marlon was called on an and1 by UF where he didn't touch the guy. Javonte was called for an off ball foul. Skylar was called for breathing on a guy with the ball without physically touching him. Days was called for an over the back where he didn't touch the guy, and UF got the rebound. Bigby Williams was called for a hold, when he wasn't, but since UF through the ball away it was called a foul. Naz was called for a foul standing with his hands up as the UF guy dipped his shoulder into him, busting his lip, after Tremont cleanly ripped the ball from the UF player. Call was on Naz, not Tremont, even though the guy didn't even have the ball.

Skylar was fouled on that late layup after the steal in the press. no call.
Naz was fouled at least 3 times down low. thankfully he was able to follow up most of those fouls with putback dunks.
Naz had two shots that were goaltended, one in which he made, the other he was fouled and goaltended.
Emmitt had a guy run into him in the air with no call as he made the shot.
Bigby Williams had a guy run under him as he caught an alley oop. no call
Skylar had a guy try to take a charge against him, goes flying with the contact, and no foul called.
Marlon drives to the goal, with contact the whole way, defender falls while running with Marlon, and it's somehow a charge.
Marlon was called for a push off on offense. UF's point guard routinely put his hands out to keep Tremont from getting close to him.

Not a single replay of any of those calls I mentioned was shown in this game, especially the obvious goal tends.

The foul on the screen by Naz with the stupid arse 6 point play was clearly before the shot, yet the referee had no problem emphatically putting his hands in the air as if someone just scored a game winning touchdown for his team after convening with the other idiot refs.

The thing that got me was not showing any replays the entire game of anything. Generally when there's a foul called and a stop in play, you take a look at the replay and see the foul. Nope, not a single replay.

That was very odd and all of the proof I needed on the screw job. Who does that as a ref?

Huge win for Florida. According to espn.com/bpi, a win gives them an 87 % chance to make the tournament. A loss would have dropped its chances to 29%. For LSU, BPI projects its seed to drop on average by 1.4 due to the loss.

You could clearly see the team was affected by the refs as the game went on.
Tremont with his sarcastic clapping at the refs for 2 or 3 straight possessions after the charge call they had on him.
Skylar laughing at them his hands in the air after the layup off the steal where he was clearly fouled with no call.

Marlon was clearly agitated. All 4 of the calls on him were bullshite calls.

I hope they learned a lesson tonight on how to deal with the refs going forward, b/c i'm pretty the tourney games will be the same way.

and i'll just be clear that while i compiled all this bull shite against the refs, LSU should have won this game easily despite all of that, and it's their own fault they lost.

Had to listen on the radio. John Brady said he doesn’t remember when LSU didn’t shoot a single free throw in the first half. Very questionable.

The 6 point play is very suspect.

That one play and the free throws....

Are you suggesting the refs might not have been fair?

Actually, that was my impression also.

First off you had the ticky tack fouls on Bigby and Days to eliminate some of the rebounding advantage. Then like you said just look at the numbers, one team shot 3s all game long but still got to the FT line nearly 3x more than the bigger team who attacked the rim all game long. We shot probmy 7 of our 19 threes because of the late game situation so it’s even more slanted.

E$PN is the propaganda arm of the $EC--they stopped being unbiased journalists a long time ago. If universities can auction off admission slots to the highest bidder, you can only imagine what stipulations they put on their TV rights. The league wants this story out of the news ASAP, and that means getting LSU out of the limelight ASAP. It's all fixed.
Unfortunately the NC$$ will be no different--they want to bury the story, too, to hide the fact that everyone is speeding on the interstate, but LSU is the only one that got pulled over. They pay the refs in the next round, and they'll make sure LSU is one-and-done. This is turning into an epic year for Louisiana getting screwed by refs on orders from the league they work for. It's enough to make you quit wasting your time on it and take it out on the specks and reds!!!

I also didn't want to mention the 2 times a UF guy went over Tremonts back to get an offensive rebound. Normally i wouldn't care that they call that given how short Tremont is, but they called 4 over the back calls on us in the game.
