I'm not crazy about it either. But McMullen has to lead off with what he's done lately. And I assume he though Ross, Laird, Stevenson being bunched would be worse than the lefties being bunched.

Oh no doubt you want McMullen leading off. I can understand Stevenson even at the 9 hole because he's terrible at the plate. But you have the chance to move Laird and you go from 2 to 8...keeping the lefties still bunched together. Why not Jones/Laird/Ross/Stevenson? Or something where Laird is 6th or 7th.
