Kelly’s track record on assistant coach hiring has been abysmal.

Don’t forget that Kelly has an abysmal record against ranked teams as well.

Kelley needs good assistant coaches. He can’t fix anything himself. All one has to do is look at the defense last year in the offense this year. I like the culture change LSUhas s undergone under Kelly. However, the only really weak link I see going into next year is our offensive coordinator. and the heat is really going be on Kelly to produce next year.

All I can say is you people are ignorant and don`t have a clue what it takes
to build a college program these days.BK is a great coach and he will shut
all of you up soon.

He needs serious help in the redzone and scheming a running game

The two go hand in hand. Improve the running game and your RZ efficiency will improve.

Another blind follower of BK. To each his own I guess.

Because it wasn't. That's a sign of a bad oc.

LSU finished with a Top 25 offense and #5 in the SEC with a first year starting QB playing and true freshman RB starting playing the 7th ranked strength of schedule. Idiots on the Rant want him fired.

I am beginning to believe you are correct. His offense is as boring as he is.

The main issue with the running game is Sloan ran too many RPO’s. OL don’t fire off like a run play and don’t get to the second level because it might be a pass. If Nuss passes it ends up being ineligible receiver downfield and play comes back.

RPO’s are great but we don’t need to run as many as we did. Just call your outside zone and pin pull counters and let the OL take it to the defense. Sloan wasn’t ready for the job this year and BK didn’t step in until we had 4 L’s.

It may make sense to hire additional consultant(s) to help him identify best opportunities for down-by-down success in the booth. Presuming he already had one or more, do a deep analysis of what suggestions by analyst(s) backfired in order to cull the "heard".

Which games do you think we're lost by offensive play calling?

USC - probably

A&M- Nuss had some very bad plays, I don't know enough to put that all on the OC

Alabama - so gross. Whole team was shite.

Florida - we completely dominated that game statistically except scoring. This is my biggest WTF. We had the ball for 40 minutes, ran 92 plays, and only scored six points.

I trust BK to make the proper staff decisions over some random emotional Rantards.

Not that we have a choice anyway.

They are not firing an OC with Nuss coming back for his final season. You might Tommy Rees to come in and help him as a TE coach or something. I'm not a big fan of Sloan personally. I think he'll be the reason LSU doesn't make a playoff next year. That said, he has plenty of opportunity to grow and hopefully he does. All things considered for a first year guy he wasn't terrible. LSU is not the place to learn on the job though which is exactly what he is doing.

Unfortunately, for LSU, the quarterback will neither pull the ball and run in the zone read option or either a threat to pull the ball and run. In short yard situations such as third or fourth and short, the quarterback has to be at least a threat to the defense so that the running back has a better chance against less men keying on Him. If the offense is trying to control the game by making first downs and is running out of the shotgun formation, it is imperative that the quarterback be able to run the football. This has been key for Notre Dame, especially in the game against Georgia. The quarterback accounted for about four first downs by running the football. Making first downs when you have a lead in the second half is critical to winning football games Otherwise the crummy run game in short yardage situations will continue. The best way to help a Subpar defense is for the offense to keep the ball away by making first downs and scoring touchdowns in the red zone.
