I disagree with his opinion but I feel this is significantly more respectful than kneeing or holding up the closed fist imitating the black power salute.
Also I am really starting to not give a shite at all about any of these protest. When they are highlighted/broadcast I change the channel. I just want football damn it

You are SAD for letting this consume you up. Step back and look at the big picture in your life.

Well - if what he was doing is protesting then he should have had a statement prepared for when he was asked about it. He could have spoken about New Orleans, events in the aftermath of Katrina. Anything.
Protesting and then not explaining the protest is very counter productive. It would be like holding a rally and everyone just having frowny faces on their signs.
He needs to come out with a statement or tweet explaining why he did it. Just my opinion.
Edit: I didn't see that he put the Alton Sterling pic on twitter. At least he's explained it now.

Fournette proly can't even articulate why he's staying in the locker room...
Ummm, racism...yea, that!

I never got called for Saints season tickets before last year. Got called this year too. Pretending that there has not been a decline in interest is just sticking your head in the sand.
There has been no decline in the demand for Saints tickets. All fans care about is if they are winning. The Saints are as popular as ever in New Orleans right now.

While not pleased with the general flag disrespect, at least he is following the established policy and not going full retard like Eric Reid.
Hanging in the locker with Yeldon. Just a negative Bama influence on a great Tiger. Lol

I'm sure he didn't even consider what his place was on the wait list for tickets

Then how have I been on the waiting list for almost a decade and never gotten a call until the past couple years? If there was no decline, how is that possible?

This may be a radical take on this issue, but it seems to me that Leonard is a grown man and he is entitled to his own opinion. I will even go so far as to suggest he has the same first amendment rights as anyone else and can express his dissatisfaction with our government and our society. Despite what others posters here seem to think, I suspect Mr. Fournette is well aware of the consequences of his quiet and respectful gesture of staying in the locker room before the anthem. Every NFL player knows what happened to Kaperncik (and Reid).

The funny part is that you don't seem to recognize that your post itself is racist.
Can you please articulate why his action offends you?

Not sure why you're laughing, you're helping make my point.

He did this for his entire career at LSU, too! SAD!
I'm going to assume this is sarcasm with college teams never being on the field for the national anthem

I cannot begin to explain how much this affects my life. I couldn't get out of bed this morning after reading this.

I think his post was sarcasm. The whole LSU football team is in the locker room during the anthem. Band forms the tunnel afterwards and that's when the team comes out.

So you're saying there's no reason for a person to decide to give up their season tickets other than the protests?
My in-laws gave up their Buccaneers season tickets a few years ago because they were going to be travelling a lot more and couldn't justify the cost for going to a few games.
It happens.

I can't stand people protesting the Flag/Anthem, but support their right to do so
On their own time, yes of course, they can protest all they want. But at their job, there's absolutely zero right to do that. A private employer can limit speech, protest, etc. any way they want.
It's only the GOVERNMENT that can't prohibit it.
