1) The traditional broadcast channels (CBS, ABC, NBC) are still free. You will need a conversion antenna, as many have mentioned. CBS is also online for free.

2) Borrow a password for WatchESPN. You need a cable subscription, which is very stupid (why would I watch online if I have cable?). So find a friend or family member with a cable subscription and get them to loan you their password. Maybe offer a few bucks if you aren't super close.

3) Pirate feed at FirstRowSports works as a backup pretty much every time. You might get some malware on your computer, though. Personally, I have an old laptop I use specifically for this purpose.

Well, I stream and I've tried Hulu, sling TV, and PlayStation Vue. All of them have SECN, ESPN, ESPNU and local stations.

Yeah, mine would definitely lag, then freeze up, go pixelated, etc. Had to sign out and sign back in to fix it... so don't think it is my connection. I get much better performance out of YTTV.

Is that an introductory rate?

The cable deals looked good until I saw the price after the first 12 months. I’ve been streaming games for a few years now. Only time I’ve had issues was when I had AT&T internet. Switched to Cox and no problems streaming everything since.

Sony PS Vue. Has all ESPN and cbS plus SECN.

Price went up earlier this year. You can get YouTubeTV for $40 and get pretty much everything you need, including local channels.

I’m not in BR. I’m in Europe so using Vue is a bit tricky for me. I have to use a VPN to make it work, but it’s totally worth it.

Sling or ps vue both are great. Ps vue has more in their entry package but sling has a lower entry price. Slings interface is also a little more user friendly. They both offer free trials. Grab a roku or firestick and try them out. Grab a GE 37075 antenna for each of your TVs for local. They look great and come with amplifier so they work great too. Easy peasy.

It’s funny you mention this...... I just got an email from DIRECTV for my bill is $194.83.

just three or four months ago there was a thread on here about call DIRECTV to save $50 a month and I did that and got the savings I’ll be damned if my bill is it higher now than it was before I called to save the $50 .
200 for cable is a crime IMO

I use someone’s cable login for the ESPN app.

Grandma streams will have 5-6 games streaming at a time during fb season.

The final answer to watch anything (CFB, NBA, NFL, UFC, Boxing) is reddit. Google “reddit CFB streams” and a page will come up with every CFB game linked. Choose your game and another page will pop up with multiple links to watch a live stream.

For NFL, google reddit “NFL streams”, for boxing “reddit boxing streams”, etc. There may even be streams for tv shows, I’ve never looked.
