If Bama was going to be in, they woukd not have had SMU 3 spots higher going into conference championships. Bama needed a SMU win or arse kicking.

If they put Alabama in over SMU, after having SMU ahead of Alabama this week, then they immediately invalidate everything about their rankings and the playoff in general.

Alabama always seems to get the benefit of the doubt, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they get in the playoffs. I don’t think they deserve it however.

They did lose to a team who went 0-2 against two SEC teams Alabama beat.
